The physical body born of earth is endowed with the thirty-two marks of a great being, the eighty minor marks, the four kinds of complete purity, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three unguardeds, the three mindfulnesses, the complete destruction of habitual tendencies, the nature of not forgetting, great compassion, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, the omniscience of all aspects, and the complete perfection of the six perfections. Here, the meaning of these is explained in verses: With whatever loving-kindness towards sentient beings, wishing to meet with happiness, with loving-kindness wishing to be free from suffering, compassionate one. Wishing not to be separated from happiness, that is, joy, happiness, and benefit. With the thought of equanimity, having the characteristic of being without all afflictions, I prostrate to you. With liberation, one is definitely freed from all the obscurations of that. With the wisdom of the Able One, subduing all the samadhi of the world, that is, the subduer. With your wisdom, knowing the exhaustion of knowable things, pervading equally entering, freed from the obscuration of the obscuration of knowledge, I prostrate to you. The special quality of being without afflictions, purifying all the afflictions of all sentient beings. Subduing them without exception. Possessing the power to eliminate afflictions, and to sentient beings in affliction. With love and compassion, I prostrate to you. 7. The special quality of knowing from aspiration, spontaneously accomplished without effort, and without attachment because of being separated from the obscuration of affliction. Without obstruction because of being separated from the obscuration of knowledge, and always because of being separated from the obscuration of equanimity. Remaining in equanimity, to all questions. Giving answers, I prostrate to you. 7. The four individual knowledges, the two meanings of place and dharma and place, whatever is to be spoken. To the one who declares the certainty of words and the fearlessness of wisdom. Always unobstructed wisdom, that is, the unobstructed one. I prostrate to the supreme teacher. 7. With the direct perception of clairvoyance, intentionally going to that place, and with the divine ear knowing those. Knowing their words and minds with the knowledge of others' minds, knowing from where they came with the knowledge of former lives. Knowing with the divine eye where they will be born or go, and with the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, indicating the path of liberation to sentient beings. Guiding well, I prostrate to you. 7. If all sentient beings see you. They will realize that you are a supreme being. Just seeing you will make clear the thirty-two marks and the

I prostrate to you who are adorned with eighty minor marks, and whose deeds are accomplished. Furthermore, the four purities are: purity of place, having mastered the ability to take birth, abide, and relinquish the body as desired through meditation; purity of object, able to conjure forms never seen before and transform existing ones into others; purity of mind, able to enter and arise from immeasurable samadhi; and purity of wisdom, having mastered the wisdom that holds all the doors of dharani. I prostrate to you who possess these qualities. With the power of knowing what is and is not, you teach the causes of happiness and suffering, virtue and non-virtue, thereby destroying the Mara of deception. By knowing the ripening of karma, you show that happiness and suffering are caused by karma itself, and that one should not take refuge in deities like Ishvara, thereby destroying the Mara of refuge. With the power of meditative knowledge, you destroy the Mara of deception regarding purity in the world and beyond. With the remaining seven powers, you destroy the Mara who thoroughly deceives sentient beings on the great vehicle of definite emergence. I prostrate to you. The four fearlessnesses: having taken the vow of omniscient wisdom, having abandoned the two obscurations, and teaching the path of definite emergence and its four obstacles. The first two are for one's own benefit, and the latter two are for the benefit of others, unshaken by other non-Buddhists who do not acknowledge these and refute them. I prostrate to you. Possessing three non-protections, because there is no fault to hide, you speak of punishment in the assembly, meaning you have no faults, so you cannot be punished. For both those who listen to the Dharma and those who do not, you have abandoned all afflictions, attachment and aversion, and possess the three close mindfulnesses. Because there is nothing to protect, and for the benefit of others, there is no forgetting, so you can gather the assembly. I prostrate to you. Having completely destroyed the imprints, you are always constant in walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. Even though afflictions are exhausted, you do not have the behavior of non-omniscient beings, such as excitement caused by imprints. For example, it is said that the elder Maudgalyayana, due to the imprint of being a monkey for five hundred lifetimes, even without afflictions, would jump and walk like a monkey. Similarly, a solitary Buddha, due to the imprint of being a prostitute, would clean his body. In the true sense, you are the omniscient one who perfects all deeds.
