It should be known where to abandon. Since its nature cannot be shown by way of establishment, it is shown by way of negation. At this time, the non-conceptual wisdom is also the non-conceptual of universal seeking, which arises from combination. Its fruit, the actual basis, is non-conceptual itself. Its fruit is obtained from the subsequent. All three of these use the name of non-conceptual, because of the increase of wisdom, the superior wisdom, the initial combination arises, and from that arises non-conceptual wisdom. It is also acceptable to apply the name of the fruit to the cause, and it is in accordance with the actual and subsequent non-conceptual wisdom, and it guides it. The wisdom of the self-nature of each internal self-awareness, non-conceptual itself is the second superior wisdom. The wisdom that abides on that is the subsequent attainment, which is the third superior wisdom. Non-conceptual itself is what is to be proven, and universal seeking is its cause, and its fruit is non-conceptual itself. The fruit, non-conceptual wisdom, is the cause of subsequent attainment, so if non-conceptual wisdom is proven, then the other two will also be proven, so the nature of non-conceptual wisdom, etc., is spoken of. If all dharmas are unspeakable, then what dharma is discriminated? The answer to this refutation is: the nature that arises from combination is, in reality, not different from the conceptual assumption. What is it like to arise from combination? Because letters combine with each other, that meaning arises from combination. Because letters combine with each other, the meaning of the name "eye" is spoken, and the root of the eye is what is to be discriminated and assumed. If it is said that it has been shown that all dharmas are unspeakable, then how is it established? It is said to be unspeakable, but consciousness does not enter. Because it does not tend to the speaker, even if there is something to be said, it will not become its mind. If the speaker becomes the mind of what is to be said, then it is said because of cessation, etc. Therefore, speaker and spoken, therefore it is unspeakable, Vasubandhu said. It is like wanting a treatise without understanding it, which is a combination arising. It is like experiencing the meaning of the words of that treatise, which is the actual basis. It is like understanding the treatise and experiencing the meaning of the words of the treatise, which is the subsequent attainment, as it is said.

Regarding distinctions, just as showing with examples of various kinds, although Vasubandhu (དབྱིག་གཉེན།) and Asanga (ངོ་བོ་ཉིད་མེད་པ།) did not say what the meaning of this distinction is, whether a mute person knows how to express words with the example of a mute person, how the ignorant experience things, the five senses experience with conceptualization, observe or contemplate whether there is showing to others. Simultaneously and afterwards, whether the example first exists, observe whether the example of space has characteristics. The example of space is: pervasive, uncontaminated, non-conceptual, not to be examined. Similarly, non-conceptual wisdom also pervades all dharmas with the emptiness of equal taste, is not contaminated by all dharmas, does not conceptualize itself, and is not examined by others. Regarding the distinction of the three wisdoms, the three distinctions of combination are: some arise from the power of lineage, non-conceptual wisdom arises. Some arise from the power of habituation in previous lives. Some arise from the cause of the effort of individuals who are accustomed to this present life. The three distinctions of non-conceptual wisdom are: non-conceptual arising from contentment, it should be regarded as the ultimate arising from hearing and thinking, through what hearing and thinking can the ultimate be attained? It is the contentment that arises from the bodhisattva in the position of ordinary beings, thinking that this is just this much, through complete examination, the non-conceptual of contentment. Furthermore, the non-conceptual of worldly contentment is that whatever reaches the peak of existence, it is grasped as nirvana, and there is nothing else to be realized beyond that, thus contentment arises. Even if it is not inverted, it is of the Hearers, because they do not conceptualize with the four non-inverted such as impermanence and the four inverted such as permanence. Because there is no elaboration, there is no conceptualization, it is the non-conceptual of the Bodhisattva, because all dharmas from form to enlightenment are realized without elaboration, therefore it is non-conceptual. Non-elaboration is: because it transcends the realm of speech, it cannot be expressed in words, because it transcends the realm of worldly knowledge, it cannot be understood. As shown above, regarding the classification of non-conceptual wisdom, it is said in verses: Bodhisattvas should know.
