It is peaceful through forbearance. For the sake of peace, it is completely extinguished by its very nature, so it is said. This is the explanation of the intention. Furthermore, all the teachings of the Buddhas should be understood through the four intentions and the four hidden intentions. Intention is merely what one has in mind and does not acknowledge reliance on others. Hidden intention, on the other hand, relies on making others understand. So it is said. What are they? Intention towards the equality of all the Buddhas' teachings. For example, it is said: "I myself became the Buddha Vipashyin at that time." Intention towards other times. For example, it is said: "By holding the name of the Buddha Ratnachandra, one will definitely attain unsurpassed Bodhi." And when will one obtain this root of virtue? For example, just by offering a single 'pana' (paNa, पाण, pāṇa, an ancient Indian monetary unit) one accomplishes emptiness, and just by making aspirations, one will be born in Sukhavati. Intention towards other meanings. For example, it is said: "If one reveres as many Buddhas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, one will understand the meaning of the Dharma of the Great Vehicle," this is speaking with intention towards the Dharma of realization, not towards the meaning of words and phrases. Intention towards the thoughts of beings, for example, praising generosity to some miserly people, while not praising it so much to some who are not miserly, as it is said. Some aspects of discipline and worldly meditation are also the same. The four hidden intentions are: Hidden intention towards introduction, which is to explain the nature and differences of beings and phenomena in the Hearer Vehicle or the Great Vehicle in the manner of conventional truth. In order to guide the Hearer Vehicle, it is said that there are beings who appear falsely; in order to guide the Great Vehicle, it is said that form is emptiness, which seems to make emptiness provisional. It is said that it is due to the power of beings who are afraid of falling into nihilism. Hidden intention towards the characteristics of knowable objects, which is where the three natures are shown by explaining the characteristics of the Dharma. Hidden intention towards antidotes, which is where the antidotes to the eighty-four thousand modes of conduct are explained. Hidden intention towards transformation, which is to express the meaning of what is expressed by words above as something else, while the meaning of the object itself that is expressed is shown as something else, that is: the distracted one knows what is meaningless as meaningful, and dwells exceedingly in the perversions of permanence and bliss, etc. Mind.

As it is said, "By diligently practicing asceticism for the sake of sentient beings, thoroughly subduing afflictions, one will attain the supreme Bodhi." If one wishes to explain the Mahayana Dharma, in brief, it should be explained in three ways: by showing the dependent arising that has already been explained, by showing the characteristics of the dharmas of dependent arising, and by explaining through showing the meaning that has already been explained. Among these, showing dependent arising means that dharmas arise from the habits of elaboration or expression, as it is said, "From themselves, they arise." This is because the ripening and entering consciousnesses arise due to becoming mutual conditions. The characteristics of the entering consciousness are the nature of discriminative consciousness with causes, views, six faculties, and six consciousnesses. These are also the nature of other-power as the place of the place, the nature of imputation, and the nature of reality as perfect accomplishment. This shows the characteristics of the three natures, as it is said, "From those with causes and views, they are called the three natures." How should their characteristics be explained? In the nature of other-power, there is no nature of imputation, and if the nature of perfect accomplishment exists there, then, due to not seeing it and seeing it, both of them either exist sequentially at the same time, or do not appear or appear. Because of not seeing it, one sees that in the nature of other-power there is no perfect accomplishment, and one sees that imputation exists. At the same time, because of seeing it, one sees that in other-power there is no imputation, because perfect accomplishment appears. In the nature of other-power, because there is no imputation and perfect accomplishment exists, it arises, and when perfect accomplishment appears, imputation does not appear. When perfect accomplishment does not appear, imputation appears. For other-power, imputation is not another meaning, and perfect accomplishment exists. Therefore, for other-power, both imputation and perfect accomplishment are the same: imputation does not appear and perfect accomplishment appears. As it is said. What is the explanation of the meaning that has already been explained? For example, the words that have already been explained, through the remaining words, have the qualities of...
