For example, for wanderers, calling the ear the eye, calling rice a thief, calling lips different. If name, meaning, and essence are the same, then the meaning of ear etc. may be confused, so this is unreasonable. Before the name, because there is no wisdom of the meaning that is named and distinguished by that name. Because there are many names, and the name is uncertain. The self-nature of the power of others contradicts the many selves and my mixture, so the power of others is established as not being completely imputed. Even if the dharmas do not exist, they appear there and have an object, even if there are no all afflictions, later there is purity, just like illusion etc. do not exist but have an object, similarly, know that the sky is similar to being with and without clouds. 7. Again, refuting that if it does not exist as it appears, then how can the self-nature of the power of others not exist at all times and in all aspects? If the power of others does not exist, then the self-nature of the perfectly established also does not exist, then how can it not exist at all times? If the self-nature of the power of others and the perfectly established does not exist, then all afflictions and purity will also never exist, but because all afflictions and purity are objects, they are not completely non-existent. The power of others and the perfectly established, if they do not exist in all aspects, then all afflictions and purity will not exist at all times. 7. So, how should the self-nature of the power of others be understood? It should be understood as being like illusion, mirage, dream, eye flower, image, echo, water moon, emanation, etc. So, how should the self-nature of the perfectly established be understood? It should be understood by proclaiming the four pure dharmas, that is, the purity of self-nature is: self-nature purity, suchness, will not change, and because there is no completely imputed, it is emptiness, and because it is the ultimate of truth, it is the true limit, and there is no characteristic of form etc., and the ultimate meaning is obtained by the supreme wisdom, and it is also all six realms of the pure dharma. The purity without defilement is: the purity of sudden separation, it itself does not have all obstacles. The path purity to obtain it is: the dharma of realization, the realm of Bodhi, and all thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the Paramitas etc. Generating that path

Therefore, the complete purification of the object is the teaching of the Mahayana scriptures, as follows: That is not the completely imputed because it is the cause of complete purification, and it is not other-dependent because it is the common cause of the completely pure realm of reality. These four aspects encompass all the dharmas of complete purification. The dependent arising, other-powered, is taught as illusion and so on. Based on the completely imputed, its lack of inherent existence is taught. Based on the fourfold purity, the thoroughly established is taught. That purity is nature, stainlessness, path, and object. The aspects of the dharmas of complete purification are encompassed by these four aspects. Why is the nature of the other-powered taught as being like illusion and so on? It is to dispel the doubts that others have about the other-powered being mistaken. How does that explanation dispel the doubts of being inverted or mistaken? Others think, how can something meaningless become an object of knowledge? To dispel their doubts, it is like an illusion. Although there is no elephant in the illusion, it appears to the mind as an object. How can the mind and mental factors alone, without form and meaning, be removed? To dispel this doubt, it is like the appearance of water in a mirage. If it is meaningless, how can the practice of desire and aversion arise? Like experiencing the desired object in a dream. If it is meaningless, how can the results of good and bad actions, desire and aversion, be achieved? Like an image that resembles a part of form. Just as the thought of form arises in an image even though the meaning of form is absent, but there is no meaning of form, so Vasubandhu said. This is also explained as if a real object appears in a mirror. The nature of form appears, but there is no image of form, so it is said. Although the nature of form appears in that way due to conditions, one grasps form and image as two. If it is meaningless, how do various consciousnesses arise? Like various tricks of eye magic. The shadow play is transformed into various forms by the power of desire, so it is said that although the meaning of eye magic is absent, it appears in various ways. How do various meaningless terms arise? Like an echo. If it is meaningless, the true samadhi
