That which has not been abandoned and not fully understood, the definite ripening, is powerful. This is the intention here. Furthermore, due to the many non-virtuous afflictions of desire, and having repeatedly become accustomed to them in the past, and dwelling in that place, maturing, i.e., acting with manifest attachment and strong faith, for those who are of the nature of not completely transcending suffering, whatever cannot be practiced as a path or antidote, that is naturally powerful. Making aspirations to fields such as parents and great Bodhi, etc., through the mind's manifest actions, should also be known as powerful actions. Furthermore, it should be known as a powerful action in nine ways: such as a field with qualities, abundant and numerous objects, the nature of morality being more powerful than giving, etc., the benefactor being like one free from attachment, mindfulness being strong faith, thoughts being on Nirvana, etc., being possessed by the object of meritorious action residing therein, repeatedly doing it many times, doing it oneself, having others do it, etc., many people acting in unison, is also powerful. The opposite of this, which is not in accordance with it, is a powerless action. The Blessed One said, if someone says this: "Whatever this man does with pleasure, pain, or equanimity, accordingly, he will experience the ripening of pleasure, etc., corresponding to it. If, with strong afflictions, after individually examining, one guards morality with suffering, then the ripening of that will also be the same as the cause, experiencing suffering and displeasure, then guarding that morality will become meaningless. Also, committing adultery with another's wife and being happy, the ripening of acting with pleasure and delight is also happiness, becoming delightful, then abandoning that will become meaningless. Thus, one will not abide in celibacy, and the opportunity for the cessation of suffering and the end of suffering will not appear." And again, someone says this: "Whatever this man does, whether the cause is pleasure or displeasure, etc., even if it is higher, the result will be experiencing pleasure or displeasure, then accordingly, he will experience the ripening. Thus, celibacy

It is said that one abides by practice, completely exhausts suffering, and the opportunity to end suffering also appears. What is the meaning of this? Here, it is said that the fruition of actions that possess happiness, possessing happiness, is prohibited. Possessing suffering, possessing suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering, neither happiness nor suffering are also the same. Furthermore, the fruition of actions that possess happiness and will experience happiness, happiness, is permitted. Actions that possess happiness, the suffering of experiencing suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering that will be experienced, the experience of neither happiness nor suffering, and actions that possess suffering, the fruition of experiencing happiness, happiness, is permitted. The suffering that one possesses will be experienced, is suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering that will be experienced, neither happiness nor suffering, and possessing neither happiness nor suffering, the fruition of experiencing happiness, happiness, is permitted. Those two, that which will experience suffering is suffering, and neither happiness nor suffering that will be experienced, neither suffering nor happiness, is the meaning here. Divisions of actions. Vows. Non-vows. Three kinds of actions are spoken of, neither vows nor non-vows. It should be compared with the scriptures. The vows of ordination are for those who are separate from misdeeds and who practice separation from desires. Male and female lay practitioners practice separation from misdeeds, but do not practice separation from desires. It is said that the near-abiding is neither of the two separations. Lay practitioners learn one aspect of the precepts. It is said that one possesses the vows of a lay practitioner. It is also called breaking the precepts. For eunuchs, the position of lay practitioner is prohibited, because they are not suitable to offer to the Sangha of monks and nuns. There are five types of eunuchs: those born as eunuchs, jealous eunuchs, half-month eunuchs, ejaculating eunuchs, and degenerated eunuchs. What is the vow of meditation? At the time when the seeds of afflictions that arise from breaking the precepts are destroyed, abandoning desire with detachment from desire, and detachment from desire in the first dhyana, and detachment from desire in the second dhyana, and detachment from desire in the third dhyana. The vow of non-leakage is that of seeing the truth.
