Collected in continents. Similarly, the eyes, etc., collect the consciousness of the eyes, etc. Collected by binding: just as a rope binds firewood, the body collects the senses such as the eyes. Collected by agreement of meaning: just like those who agree in meaning. Collected by close grasping: just as a master grasps servants, etc., the alaya consciousness grasps the body. Collected by not scattering: just as a vase holds water, samadhi holds the mind and mental factors other than that. Collected by manifest gathering: just as the ocean gathers rivers, the form aggregate gathers the eyes, etc. Here, it should be known that there are eleven types of gathering, mainly based on manifest gathering. Collected by ultimate truth: it is the suchness of the aggregates, etc. If there is such a collection, what are the benefits? Answer: Obtain the benefits of manifest gathering of the object, and as it is collected, so the merits and roots of virtue also increase. What is congruence? Answer: There are six types. Congruence by non-difference: the extremely small has directions, and all directions are congruent, so there is no difference. Congruence by mixing: From the extremely small upwards, those with directions that have transformed upwards mix with each other, just like the mixture of water and soil particles in muddy water. Congruence by contact: the aggregates with directions contact each other, like a lump of mud on a wall, and other lumps of mud contact each other. Congruence by simultaneous arising: the aggregates, realms, and sources arise simultaneously and abide, that is, the arising is the same, the state of abiding is the same, and the extinction is the same. Congruence by accomplishing actions: participating in the same purpose, just as two monks participate in any kind of action, those two are congruent with each other. Congruence by common understanding: the mind and mental factors commonly understand the object. That is congruent with the things of others, but not with one's own things. It does not have congruence with itself. Those are two of the same things, because different things cannot arise simultaneously, so it is not. Those are two of the same time, not different times. Those are the same realm and ground, not different ones. Universally pervading congruence is: feeling, perception, thought, touch, attention.
