Manifestation of attachment x How is it that there is nothing higher, etc.? One aspect of the unconditioned, Nirvana, is regarded as unsurpassed. One aspect of the realm of phenomena and the sources. Manifestation of attachment to the supreme of self-substance x Thus, in this way, the distinctions are immeasurable. Again, in brief, the distinctions of aggregates, realms, and sources are threefold: distinguishing by the nature of the completely imputed, the delusion of clinging to self; distinguishing by the dependent nature of the other-powered; and distinguishing by the nature of the perfected reality of suchness. First, regarding the aggregates, realms, and sources, what is "self"? Or what are sentient beings, life, the one who is born, the one who nourishes, the one born of power, the son of power—whatever is universally conceived. The distinction of the nature of the completely imputed is these very aggregates, realms, and sources. The distinction of the nature of suchness is these very aggregates, realms, and sources, which are without self and without sentient beings, etc. Absence of self is existence itself. Again, there are four distinctions: distinction by nature, by aspect x, by body x, and by continuity. First, the distinction of the individual characteristics of the aggregates, realms, and sources. Distinguishing by aspect: these aggregates, realms, and sources—truly existent, nominally existent, conventionally existent, ultimately existent, with form, without form, visible, invisible, and so forth. Distinguishing by body: as many bodies as there are sentient beings, so many aggregates, realms, and sources there are. Distinguishing by continuity: the arising of each moment of the aggregates, realms, and sources. By being skilled in the distinction of nature, one completely understands the manifestation of attachment to self. By being skilled in the distinction of aspect, one completely understands the notion of wholeness. By the distinction of body, one completely understands the notion of encountering the unconditioned and that what is done is not wasted. By being skilled in the distinction of continuity, one completely understands the notion of permanence. Again, there are six distinctions of the aggregates, etc.: distinguishing by looking outward, which is mostly distinguishing by practicing in the desire realm; distinguishing by looking inward, which is all meditative stabilizations. Distinguishing by long duration is that of individual ordinary beings. Distinguishing by complete cessation of time is that of learners and non-learners. The final aggregates, realms

Other than the birth place. The distinctions of that time: the final aggregates, realms, and sources of the non-learners. The distinctions of complete manifestation: the aggregates, realms, and sources of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have attained mastery are completely manifested. What is the collection? Collected by characteristics, collected by realms x, collected by lineage x, collected by state x, collected by companions x, collected by direction x, collected by time x, collected by one aspect x, collected by all x, one collected by one. There are eleven collected by ultimate meaning. First, the individual characteristics of the aggregates etc. are collected. By realms: the seeds of aggregates, realms, and sources, which are the alaya consciousness, all the realms of those are collected by one alaya consciousness. By lineage: although the characteristics of the aggregates etc. are different, if the meaning of aggregates, realms, or sources is emphasized, then all are mutually collected. By state: by the state of pleasure, pain, and equanimity, those aggregates etc. are collected. By companions: the form aggregate also has the five aggregates, and feelings etc. also have others possessing them, so each collects all five, i.e., the form aggregate and its retinue. Other than that, feelings etc. which are companions of other aggregates, are collected by the collection of companions. Similarly, the aggregates, realms, and sources other than that should also be understood. By direction: the aggregates etc. are collected by the eastern direction etc. By time: by past, present, and future, those aggregates etc. are collected there. By one aspect: however many dharmas of the aggregates etc. there are, those are collected by any one. For example, the aggregate of morality is collected by one aspect of the form aggregate, and concentration and wisdom are collected by one aspect of the aggregate of formation etc. By all: collecting all the dharmas of the aggregates etc., such as the aggregate of suffering collecting the five aggregates of appropriation, the desire realm collecting the eighteen realms etc. One collected by one: if asked, by how many realms and how many sources is the form aggregate collected? By ten realms and ten sources, and by one aspect of realms and sources. The feeling aggregate is collected by one aspect of one realm and one source etc., many were said. Collected by place: the sentient beings of Jambudvipa (India)
