What are the examples of distinctions? The nature among self-nature, result, and pervasiveness. The three non-appearances do not reject the establisher, and the rest of it are all correct reasons. It should be known that the establisher is rejected. Second, for it, there are also two distinctions, from the opposite perspective, the self-utterance's lineage rejects four types, and the non-self's other lineages reject sixteen types. Second, the characteristic of seeming to be inverted. For the wishes expressed by others, there is no establishing of what is not wished. Third, regarding the debate on inverted statements, there are two types: debate and response. First, the non-Buddhist says: If the accepted sign is the reason for establishing the thesis, then the accepted sign that is not included in the three of result, nature, and non-apprehension would become a fourth reason. If this acceptance is not a reason or a sign, then it is not reasonable to establish the thesis by fallacy after setting this as a sign. Second, even if the acceptance is not a reason in reality, it is still something universally imputed by others, that is, whatever is desired and accepted, there is no fault in establishing it in that way from his perspective by means of a fallacy in which the sign desired by himself is set as a sign. Second, regarding the way to respond to that fallacy, there are two aspects: refutation and establishment. First, within that, there are two aspects: the proponent's side and the refutation. First, the response to a fallacy is: the sign is unestablished, there is no pervasion, and there is obstruction of acceptance. It is said that one responds with these three doors, so say the people of the snowy region. Second, if that is the case, then contradictory pervasion and uncertain pervasion become one, because both of them are included in the absence of pervasion. If it is said that this is desired, then it would follow that even a seeming sign becomes two: an unestablished sign and an absence of pervasion. Ultimately, the responses to all seeming reasons would become one: unestablished, because all seeming reasons are the same in not establishing the thesis. If it is said that this is not good, because one does not know which of the sign and pervasion is established, it is necessary to distinguish between the sign and the unestablished pervasion, then it is similar that two responses are needed to understand contradictory and uncertain pervasion separately. Another fault is that the response of saying "not pervaded" to a contradictory sign would become mistaken. For example, in establishing sound as permanent, setting up knowable as the means of proof, setting it up as if it were not pervaded is merely uncertain, and one cannot cut off its existence on permanence, because it exists in both aspects, by the force of the response.

It has been promised. Second, one's own system. Therefore, a wise person answers with consequentialism. Similar to the number of the four doors of liberation, for the three, namely true, apparent, and seemingly true, one should apply four self-answers respectively. If the reasoning that cannot be refuted by answers is correct, then not avoiding with resentment and means, but following the reasoning established by valid cognition, is the conduct of the holy ones who accept reasoning, are upright, and without deception. Third, the conclusion of inference. Thus, whoever knows the flawless reasoning system of establishing the valid side and refuting the invalid side, that wise person can hold the pure teachings of the complete Buddhas with unwavering intelligence. The eleventh chapter, which is an excellent explanation of examining inference for the sake of others, from the Treasury of Valid Reasoning. Third, the actions of completely perfecting the conclusion include: Who is the author? Why was it written? And the dedication of the merit of writing in this way, in three parts. First, the author's innate wisdom is superior, and the difference in the superiority of wisdom arising from cultivation. First, who is the author, the difference in the nature of his wisdom is: In previous lives and even earlier lives, etc., in previous lives, by diligently relying on and repeatedly mastering the scriptures, not only relying on one, but also having previously studied all the words and meanings well spoken by many other wise people. Therefore, it is not a small cause of time and diligence, but with the cause previously accomplished, in this life, by hearing only once or twice, one can easily understand all the words and meanings of all the scriptures, I, Kunga Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, possess such intelligence. Second, having completely conquered all opposing sides, the scriptures of the glorious Dignāga and Dharmakīrti, the Sutra and the Commentary on Valid Cognition, and their commentaries, etc., are well understood, thus showing the wisdom arising from cultivation, therefore, having understood the secret of the key points of logic without error, in order to clarify the excellent path of true reasoning, the treatise called "Treasury of Reasoning," was composed in this way.
