It is for the purpose of showing the distinctions of the existing realms. In short, the so-called "scriptures have no subsequent inference" means that there is no reason to establish, and fame is what causes harm. Second, if one knows what is said and what can be said through the method of excluding others, then the exclusion of fame can be achieved as the wise ones intended. From the Treasury of Logic, the detailed discussion on the examination of inference for oneself, this is the tenth (chapter). Second, regarding inference for others, there is a definition, the speaker of inference, and three classifications of the language of debate. First, inference for others is the language by which the debater himself sees the meaning and shows it to others through reason. Second, there are individual definitions, the forms of victory and defeat, and three ways in which a witness can establish it. First, there are three: the debater, the counter-debater, and the witness. They promise to state the reason for establishment, promise to state the refutation, and promise the agreement of victory and defeat. Second, for the debater and the counter-debater, stating faults and stating merits without faults, in this way, punishment and acceptance are carried out sequentially. If faults and merits are distinguished and shown in this way, then there is victory and defeat, otherwise it is said that there is neither victory nor defeat. Punishing with lies, exaggeration, deception, and cunning cannot protect the sect, so such victory and defeat are not recognized. Third, the way in which a witness establishes it has two aspects: common and specific. First, there are two: worldly and religious. First, for example, seizing property and giving positions, worldly people hope to punish and accept in this way. Second, when adopting or abandoning tenets, the holy ones hope to punish errors and accept the truth. Second, the specific places of punishment are two: stating what is reasonable and refuting what is wrong. First, punishment is the four types distinguished from the two debaters, the number is fixed, that is, the debater does not state the limbs that can be established, states what is not a limb, and the counter-debater states what is not a fault, and does not state a fault. These are the views of Dharmakirti, who is proficient in reasoning. Second, there are two: refuting the views of the Snow Land (Tibet) and the views of Akshapada. First, there are two: stating that view and refuting it. First, the view that is inconsistent with this is as follows:

For the questioner, there are three such as not answering. Three such as not abandoning faults, making two sets of three, which is six. For the refuter, there are also three such as not questioning when questioning. Three such as not pointing out faults, making two sets of three, which is six. For the witness, there are three such as not distinguishing right from wrong. For all in common, there is one such as not listening. In short, the people of the snowy land (Tibet) believe there are sixteen. Second, this is unreasonable. If the faults of the two debaters should be stopped, then they are included in the previous four. If they are not included there, then they should not be stopped at all. For the witness, there is no stopping. If he is not suitable as a witness, then he cannot be a witness. If he is suitable, then how can he be stopped? This is too extreme, because he is the one who stops. Second part, stating the previous view, and refuting the erroneous parts from it, in two parts. First part, according to the view of outsiders (non-Buddhists): harming the vow, other vows, contradicting the vow, canceling the vow, other reasons, other meanings, meaningless, not understanding the meaning, meaningless, the time has not arrived, incomplete, superfluous, repeating, not following, not understanding, without courage, distracted, admitting desire, abandoning debate, connecting the unrelated,
