Because all the causes for the arising of mental direct perception are complete and without difference, it is unreasonable that it does not arise earlier but arises later. Therefore, the first moment of consciousness arising from the sense faculty is the cause of the second moment of sense consciousness, and these become the cooperative condition for the mind to act together, so in the second moment of sense consciousness, the mind and sense faculty arise separately, and the object looking outward and the consciousness are both self-awareness internally, so there is no other continuum. Second, therefore, only this third type of direct perception is reasonable. Third, because mental direct perception apprehends the similar type that is different from the object of sense direct perception, it will not become a cut-off consciousness, and the arising of mental direct perception depends on the direct perception of the sense faculty, so there is no fault of the blind seeing, so this view does not have the two faults of whether the object apprehended by the sense faculty is apprehended by the mind or not. Third Self-awareness direct perception. There are characteristic and debate aspects. First, the awareness that is not mistaken about the nature of one's own consciousness is the characteristic of self-awareness direct perception, which is the view of the wise. Second, some people think that if one knows oneself, then there will also be the fault of arising from oneself. Because self-arising is the arising of something that did not exist before, it is unreasonable if there is no difference between cause and effect. However, self-awareness is divided into knower and known, not self-awareness itself, but the experience of slightly separating one's own nature from matter, arising as the nature of clear awareness, which is called self-awareness, so self-awareness and self-arising do not have the same opportunity. Fourth, yogic direct perception. There are three aspects: the identification of nature, the way of becoming a measure for the object, and the measure that proves it. The first aspect has three aspects: characteristic, classification, and reason thinking. The first aspect has two aspects: negation and affirmation. First, it is wrong for Tibetans to separate yogic direct perception and its measure, and then establish the characteristic. Second, one's own system. The non-conceptual, non-erroneous consciousness that arises from relying on meditation is the characteristic of yogic direct perception. Although it arises from the power of meditation, it does not cling to the object, and the confused phenomena such as the appearance of skeletons in the impure mind are similar yogic direct perception. Second, in terms of classification, there are two types: classification of basis and classification of nature. First, the three direct perceptions of the three: Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Great Vehicle Aryas. Among them, Solitary Realizers and Learners are not listed separately.

There are five categories based on learning and non-learning of calculations. Secondly, for these five, the difference between the appearance of post-attainment emptiness and the samadhi without appearance is divided into two each, totaling ten aspects. Thirdly, regarding the cause of the two wisdoms, what is the cause? When will it reach the ultimate? There are three points to consider the difference in the results depending on the means. First, the cause of that yogic direct perception is that meditation, compassion, and other means, and the wisdom of selflessness are well practiced. These two become the cause and condition of each other. Wisdom is the cause, means are the condition, and as it is, means are the cause, wisdom is the condition, and the view of the wisdom of as many as possible is completely purified. Secondly, the time when that wisdom reaches its ultimate is when one strives for the two accumulations of the three times, the result of the Hearer, attaining the wisdom of exhaustion and non-arising, and the wisdom of the solitary realizer attained in a hundred kalpas, and the wisdom of the Buddha who has abandoned the two obscurations in three great countless kalpas reaches its ultimate. Third, therefore, the result of relying on means is also only focused on the selflessness of the person. Because one is not good at various means, the two liberations of Hearers and solitary realizers still have habits, so they are not the teachers who have attained the ultimate in abandonment and realization and realized Suchness. By studying wisdom and being proficient in means to the ultimate, the yogic direct perception of the Buddha illuminates all knowable things, and that wisdom also abandons the subtle obscurations of habits, so it is the omniscient teacher who realizes all aspects, reaching the ultimate or possessing characteristics. Second, regarding how to become a valid cognition of an object. Establish all yogic direct perceptions as valid cognitions. The way that valid cognition acts to accept and reject. There are three points to examine the wisdom of knowing the three times. First, the two of decisive knowledge and certainty are conceptual, so they are not direct perception. Therefore, the wisdom without concept, clear and unmixed, is all yogic direct perception. Because it is direct perception, it is established as a valid cognition that does not deceive the object. Second, the valid cognition of ordinary people who are defiled by clinging is determined separately by the memory of connecting what is seen and heard, and thus acts to accept and reject, not only by valid cognition. Noble ones who have not abandoned the habits of conceptualization are the same as worldly people when they abide in their own nature.
