Pauses occur in specific organs or in the general pulse due to illness, mostly temporal pauses, and pauses occur in the pulse of the affected area. The possessing spirits of various diseases, such as wind diseases being harmed by kings, are easily understood according to the texts. Once the cause of harm is identified, offerings should be made with Bönpo rituals and tormas (Tibetan: མདོས།), or expulsion should be performed with forceful methods. Alternatively, one should meditate on protective wheels and other practices, invoking the blessings of the deities, proclaiming the teachings of the Buddha, making offerings and practicing ethical conduct, accumulating merit, and through fire offerings and tormas, employing peaceful and forceful methods as appropriate, in accordance with the customs and traditions of each region. Thirteenth general meaning: Examining the pulse of life signs and the soul: Because one's own mind has not gained independence and has come under the control of delusion, looking back with attachment to the pleasures of samsara, influenced by ignorance and other afflictions, and consequently accumulating karma, one takes on the bad result of a contaminated body. Therefore, in order to sustain life and prolong lifespan, a wandering soul pulse arises as a support. Just as the consciousness of the eye depends on the eye faculty, the life force of
