These are the omens of death related to blood. Outwardly, the eyes are dull, and nothing can be seen. Thirst and dull senses are considered common. As signs of fever, the teeth are red, and the head and eyes are crooked. The mouth is dry, looking outward, and strong winds frequently arise. The eyes are red, the lips and face are red, and dust and grime accumulate. For wind, the examination of the causes of death and treatments is accurate. As signs of people and possessions, it is like moving precious silk threads. The omens of death related to bile are loss of appetite and obstruction. Turning yellow, phlegm and breathing are uncomfortable. Blood and inflammation, if treatment is not timely, will lead to death. Old fever sinks deep and becomes blurred. If a bird's voice is emitted from inside the chest cavity, it will lead to death. Tumor disease repeatedly causes pain, which will lead to death. The omen of death related to edema is the disappearance of the six edema sites, which will lead to death. The omen of death related to phlegm disease is the rupture of the blood lake, which will lead to death. The blood of death is similar to semen and bile. Tumors, if not treated with bloodletting, will not respond to medicine. If a beggar begs, it will turn into death. In the four cases of pulse, urine, appearance, and blood, if unwanted signs appear, at the time of death, be firm and it is best to abandon this disease. Like this, if unwanted signs do not appear, and the pulse and urine improve, and outwardly, clear signs of no disease gradually appear, through treatment, the disease can be eliminated, and the goals of oneself and others can be achieved. I have composed this mirror of recognition, may all six types of beings existing in the world be liberated from discordant afflictions and diseases, and may they attain the supreme bliss of the Dharmakaya.
