Of happiness. In short, in order to accomplish all things mundane and transcendental simultaneously, it is shown that the teachings of the science of medicine must be learned. If the meanings of what is to be learned are summarized, it is certain that there are only four aspects. It is neither necessary to have more nor sufficient to have less. In the sixth chapter of the outer back shade, it says: The gathering of the five elements is the cause of conception in the womb. Etc. That is, the father and mother's semen and blood are without defects, and the consciousness driven by karma and afflictions meets, which is the cause of conception. That is, the five elements gather together. Where is that found? In the five elements of semen, blood, and mind. That is, the five elements inherent in semen and blood are nourished by the five elements that exist together with the intermediate state consciousness, thereby forming the body. As the teacher Hero said: First, the father and mother's semen and blood are without defects such as wind, and the consciousness with karma and afflictions, together with the five great elements such as space, are extremely subtle, beyond the scope of the senses, becoming the realm of yogis, and these gather and assemble in the womb in an instant, thereby forming the body. The nature of consciousness is clear, producing the radiance of self-power, moved by the wind, manifesting the five elements. That is the meaning. This mind is the source of the five elements. The way the five elements arise from the mind. In the Four Seats of Vajra it says: Water arises from the mind, therefore, consciousness is the element of water. If water becomes other, why does no water flow out after death? Consciousness becomes fire, therefore, the body must have warmth. The radiance of wisdom illuminates the body, why does no warmth appear? Consciousness is wind, in the body, the breath of entry and exit is like smoke. The radiance of wisdom illuminates the body, and those also have no breath. Mind arises from earth, therefore, heaviness is the cause of manifestation. The body illuminated by the radiance of wisdom floats on the water. The five measures of the body are all shown in the manner of five in one. Having understood becoming one, it is like the dwelling place of a yogi. Consciousness and the five elements depend on each other, as it says in the Great Seal of the Point: These great elements are known as the support of life.

It should be done like this. Or sustain them with life. One should know the auspicious birth and freedom. It is formed as such. If there is any problem with semen and blood, before conception, if the semen and blood of either parent is lost due to illness, etc., one should observe whether there are any problems with wind, etc. If there are problems, then it is not appropriate to give birth. One must perform the ritual to eliminate these problems. As it says in the Eight Branches: Those harmed by wind, etc., should be treated with their own medicine. Like that. Thus, conception in the womb is also the combination of karma and causes and conditions. Just as when the semen and blood of the parents arise like a fire mirror and coral, one thinks, 'This is this,' and the mind of attachment and aversion arises, and due to the influence of various appearances, karma draws it into the womb. There are four ways of entering the womb. If there are no five elements, the body cannot be formed. If there is no earth, then like a vase filled with water, solidity cannot be formed. If there is no water, then like dry sand, it cannot be gathered together. If there is no fire, then like meat that is not dried by the sun, it will rot and decay, and cannot ripen; the one that can ripen is fire. If there is no wind, then there is no upward growth, like a stomach that is not filled with air. Although space is unconditioned, it is regarded as opening up emptiness; if there is no space, then the opportunities for holes, nine orifices, etc., cannot be separated, so it will become a whole; therefore, the body is made of the five elements. On the first line of the back of the third page: Earth produces flesh and bones, and the smell of the nose. And so on. Specifically, earth produces hard parts such as flesh and bones, and the tangible sense organ of the nose, like a copper needle. Its object is the nature of smell. Water produces moist parts of the body such as blood, and the tangible sense organ of the tongue, like a crescent moon. Its object is the nature of taste. Fire produces warmth and skin color, and the tangible sense organ of the eye, like a red flower. Its object is the nature of color. Wind produces breath and skin, the tangible sense organ of the body, like soft skin when touched. Its object is the nature of touch. Space produces the nature of empty holes. The tangible sense organ of the ear, like a twisted barley awn. Its object is the nature of sound. The causal relationships just mentioned, in general, are due to the power of habit and familiarity in other lifetimes, naturally acting on that kind of action.
