It is called a cause. Symbolizing this, if we elaborate on the various slightly different wonderful causes, there are countless. Like this, these verbal paths combining wonderful causes, even if they are not real causes and results, rely on the assumption or common application of cause and result, from the cause producing the result, such as appearing earlier, etc., on the path of poetry, one can see very beautiful things. So, what is its example? First, the cause ornament that produces a distant result is: named "Mother of Body, the corner of your eye," which in reality conquers all beings, the weapon of lust born of the body, fiercely thrown at other men, not for a certain purpose, yet it destroys my heart far away. "Weapon of the bodiless" appears in previous translations, the bodiless one is the god of love. The meaning of distant is that because it is not the object of special action, it is not close to that cause, so it is distant, or because it is not in the same position as that object, it means further than that. Here, even if the thrown weapon cannot destroy other meaningless things, here it is like it has already happened, it is amazing because of its state. The wonderful cause of cause and result existing simultaneously is: for example, a man born of the body, that is, various postures of being intoxicated by desire, face turning red, pupils staring straight, etc., while doing various actions, the women desired in the heart, the stage of young girls completely disappears, and an age suitable for enjoying desire arises. From the object woman being suitable for enjoying desire, it is reasonable for a man to develop attachment, but here, it is said that these two do not have before and after, but arise simultaneously. The wonderful cause of the result preceding the cause is: initially or previously, the ocean of attachment of the lineage of deer-eyed women becomes vast, after that the halo of the moon radiating light rises. Although the moon is the cause of the sea's growth, here, it is said that after the assumed sea's growth, the cause moon rises, therefore the result is amazing as if it happened before the cause. An inappropriate or illogical cause is: calling the king the one god, and touching your two red, or red, young suns.

What has become of it? In that instant, the lotus flowers in the hands of the other kings closed in a gesture of reverence. Why is this? Because the sun should not cause the lotus to close. The reason it should close is: the moon-like radiance of the toenails of you, the king, emitting the brilliance of pure jasmine, has the power to close the lotus flowers in the hands of the rulers. This is because the moon has the reason to close the lotus. In conclusion, the manner of the ornament of cause, including the general three divisions and their respective categories, is shown as just mentioned above. The fourteenth is the subtle ornament, which has two aspects: the essence and the example. First, wherever a meaningful thing is expressed through the implication of meaning or words, and through gestures of body and speech, etc., it is not the clear meaning that is directly understood, but because it is subtle, it is called subtle. In order to understand some inner thoughts, one must first contemplate, and without directly stating that meaning, either through a hint of implication, or even if it is not a deliberate hint after prior thought, but the meaning expressed by the gestures of body and speech that correspond to the inner changes of mind, that is subtle, and that is what is to be expressed here. As it is said in the Vinaya-vastu: "All that is in the mind can be observed from the outside. Voice, countenance, and the state of the senses cannot be completely hidden." Like this, although there is no clear expression in words, the meaning is understood because it is understood from the subtle, so it is subtle, and it is also called subtle because it requires careful thought to be understood. Such subtlety, when used in verbal expression, so that its meaning is understood, is called the subtle ornament. Second, there are two categories. First, the subtle expressed through implication is: wanting to say, "When will we two be together?" but unable to say it in the midst of the crowd, the clever woman discerned the thoughts and actions of that lover. So that woman, in a playful manner or pretending, used her hands to close her ornamental lotus, thereby signaling to her lover. Some also interpret it as making the gesture of a closing lotus. Like this, tormented by the desire born of the body, wanting to comfort the lover, causing the lotus to close.
