Even if there is no nature of smiling, it is attached in such a way as "similar to it," although there are cases similar to being used as a metaphor, it does not become a metaphoric ornament, because the appearance of the flower itself is attached as being like the appearance of sentient beings, and to express the meaning of similarity, words such as "like," "as," and "similar" are used. Regarding darkness and smearing, if it is understood that darkness itself is like being smeared on the body, then the word "like" has the present meaning as previously explained. If it is said, "This darkness is smeared on the body like being smeared with black eye medicine," then it becomes a word of similarity, but this association with the verb does not become the meaning of a metaphoric ornament, because attaching "like smearing" is a strong statement, not a statement that mainly shows a metaphor. Furthermore, in Tibetan, the meaning is shown as it is. One will do as one says. And so on, indicating that there is no change from the meaning of the previous word. And "explaining in order" indicates that it conforms to the previous order. Just like that. That is just like that, indicating that the state of the thing being expressed has not changed at all. Furthermore, the word "such" in "suchness" and "Tathagata" and so on is spoken in that way from the aspect that the meaning of the previous word has not changed, not the meaning that the two things are similar, etc. The details of the words need to be carefully distinguished, but only a little has been written. Following this, the three ornaments are jointly briefly explained, and then their respective natures are explained in detail. First, "The ornaments of cause, subtle, and part are the words that combine language, and are the pinnacle of language ornaments." After saying this, second, in explaining their respective natures, it is divided into three parts. The first part is from the thirty-five meaning ornaments, the thirteenth ornament of cause. It is divided into two parts: revealing the essence and giving examples of the divisions within it. First, the ornament of cause refers to the language itself that expresses, from the perspective of understanding or knowing, what is the producer of the meaning to be expressed, or what is the agent without which it would not arise. The second part is divided into two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. First, "If examples are given of these, there are many types." Second, the classification is from the general category to the cause of things, the non-material cause, and the three categories of wonderful causes.

Distinction: There are six internal distinctions of the cause of things, five of the cause of non-things, and five of the wonderful cause, totaling sixteen. First, the cause transforms into a thing, and the difference of producing the fruit of a thing also has four types: the cause of accomplishment, the cause of transformation, the cause of attainment, and the cause of knowledge. Among them, the first cause of accomplishment is further divided into two types: the cause by which a thing-cause can accomplish a thing-fruit, and the cause by which a thing-cause cannot accomplish a non-thing-fruit. The first one is: the wind of southern Malaya moves the branches of the new sandalwood tree, which makes the fruit able to bring joy to all beings. Therefore, the statement that is suitable for generating joy is brought close, and it is fully shown with the name of ornament in a way that has a beautiful demeanor. The unsuitable ones that are contrary to this are also the same, and they are also ornaments. The ornament of the unsuitable accomplishing cause is: the wind that comes from touching the stream flowing down from Mount Malaya and moving the sandalwood forest, for those who are separated from guest women, it is near to weaken the senses and life. This means that the wind that arises in this way, for the group of beings separated from women, becomes a plague of suffering, and the fruit produced from this is able to weaken those beings who are greedy for pleasant realms. Weakness is a non-thing, so it is said to produce a non-thing fruit. Therefore, for these two things to be accomplished, and for the three things to be transformed that will be discussed next, relying on the cause-thing or the author itself, it is said to be the ornament of the cause. For the things to be obtained below, most of them are said to be the cause that depends on the action of the cause. Thus, the two accomplishing causes have been shown, and next, examples will be given for the remaining two causes of transformation and attainment, and after that, the cause of knowledge will also be explained. Like this, examples are given in order, the cause of transformation is trees.
