For those, this is how the path of poetry arose for the Easterners. If both verses are taken as examples of the Eastern view, then the examples of the Southern view can be easily understood. Because each line mixes various degrees of gentleness and roughness, it can be known that it is a pleasing way that does not lean towards either side. As for the way of mixing gentleness and roughness, it is not done by putting gentleness on one side and roughness on the other, but by mixing in various ways, which cannot be shown by one example, so it indicates that it should be understood through meaning. There is something to be examined here. Some say that the mixture is mostly gentle, and because it is very gentle, there is no fault of laxity. Like that, it is no different from being very young. Also, equality is when all four lines are equally gentle, or equally rough, or only equally in the middle state, which is also considered the Southern way. In the case of equality, it is the middle state of gentleness and roughness. Like this, in the case of being very young, describing the combination of all softness as a fault of laxity, and the mixture not touching because of laxity. Like this is described, and it contradicts those examples. Being completely equally gentle is the virtue of equality, and all softness is also a fault. Being all equally rough is the virtue of mixture, and also the opposite of being very young, etc. Because these three virtues are not identified without confusion, it is difficult to accept that the ten virtues cannot be explained separately on their own. Therefore, in Ratnaśrī's Indian commentary, all four lines being equally gentle, equally rough, and equally in the middle, these three, and also the internal distinctions within them, such as the gentleness of gentleness, etc., made examples of nine distinctions. And supplementing the examples of the root text, making examples of being completely gentle and completely rough. Generally, for a verse, such distinctions arise when all four lines are made the same, which is made as an example. The four lines being differently gentle and rough shows inequality. Although such inequality shows the fault of the opposite of equality, and all nine of the above examples are considered to be solely the virtue of equality, it is not appropriate as stated before. Among these nine, the parts that are in the middle state are the virtues of equality, and those that are mostly gentle are the virtues of being very young.

It would be better, I think, if we could thoroughly analyze the idea that combining mostly rough elements is a virtue, while combining purely rough or purely soft elements with immaturity is a contrary flaw. Therefore, if we take the Southern Indian school as a basis, these ten qualities are like the general essence of poetry, the lifeblood of the path. However, if the meaning is good, it is not that purely rough or soft elements cannot be used at all, but there will be a flaw of excessive roughness or looseness in the tone of the sound. Similarly, if the softness and roughness of all four lines are uneven, it is not that they cannot be used at all, but there will be a flaw of uneven softness and roughness in the tone of the sound. However, the reason why there are those who use it in this way is that it can be known from the examples of special treatises that the Eastern school's view does not necessarily have to be the same as the Southern school's view. As it is said: "Without examining the unevenness, relying on the adornment and collection of meanings, for the Eastern people, this path of poetry arose." And: "Etc., the combination is rough, and liberation is also given." Because it is said. According to the Southern school, the three, combination, equality, and extreme youth, are established through the tones of the letters of the expressing sound, such as tightness, softness, and softness and roughness. The expression is established by omitting particles and the like, so that the words themselves are pure. These four are the virtues established from the perspective of sound and words. The two, extreme clarity and clear meaning, are respectively that neither the words nor the meaning exceed the language widely known in the world, and because the expression is clear, the meaning can be easily understood through these two, which is established from the perspective of virtue. Pleasantness is like the sound leading, pleasing to the ear, and without the flaw of vulgar words, and with the flavor as described in the context of the adornment of meaning, such language is pleasing to the ear and pleasing to the mind, which is a virtue. Therefore, all the adornments of meaning are included in the virtue of pleasantness, and double combinations and the like are derived from sound leading, and this situation will be explained later. It is said. Riddles are special expressions that hide the content to be expressed, so that no one can understand them, so it is not necessary to count them as adornments of sound and meaning. Avoiding the ten faults is the adornment of sound and the adornment of meaning.
