When Badhaka and Yuldor Tenpa and the five sons of Kyaseng were playing, they were defeated by the magic of Thabka. They lost everything from the kingdom to themselves and lived in the forest for twelve years. Later, in the city of Virat, after one year, Jikde killed Kichaka. Then they engaged in battle in Kurukshetra, the field of bad sounds. At that time, Khyabjug went to Thabka and said, "Do you choose the unique wealth god or take the eighteen armies?" He said, "Take the eighteen armies." Khyabjug became angry, took the side of the five sons of Kyaseng, and destroyed Thabka and the eighteen armies. Thus, all the others died in battle, and Yuldor Tenpa became king and ruled for thirty-six years. After that, Khyabjug went to the heavenly realm. Yulkhor Sung and all the sons of Kyaseng, and the divine dog named Cho, who was born as a dog, all passed away. So it is said. The story of Nachen and Thabka is as follows: Kunti, the daughter of King Kuntibhoja, who had perfect qualities such as beauty and youth, was visited at her home by a hermit named Nen-ngen, who begged for milk porridge. Kunti prepared the milk porridge, filled a vessel, held it in her hand, wiped away the dust, and respectfully offered it to the hermit. Seeing that her hand was not burned even at the end of the meal, the hermit was pleased and said, "Ask me for a boon." Kunti said, "If it is possible, grant me such a boon that any man I desire can be controlled by me." He gave her a mantra, saying, "If you recite this five times, you will accomplish the desired accomplishment." Then he left. Kunti sat in her dwelling and, to test whether this mantra was true, recited it and prayed to meet the sun. In that instant, the sun, with armor and chariot, stood before her. Kunti said, "Do not come to my dwelling," trying to stop him. The sun said, "The deed or action for which I was prayed cannot be reversed! Or I will curse all your lineage to be destroyed."

Then, Kunti said, how can one disgrace one's own lineage? It is by engaging in intercourse with him. She received the supreme blessing of becoming young again, and the sun departed. After that, the son of the sun was born wearing armor on his body and adorned with earrings on both ears, hence he was known as the Earringed One. The mouth of this child was filled with honey and butter, and his body was wrapped in soft cloth. He was placed in a box, which a friend took to the banks of the Ganges, saying: This beautiful son of the sun, may the box be protected by the ocean, may the assembly of gods gather, and may Brahma always protect him. Having said this, she threw the box into the Ganges. Near the Ganges, a horse herder of the Yul Khor Sung was grazing horses. He saw the box and urged his attendants to retrieve it. They brought it back and saw the child, thinking: This should be my son, and so he raised him. At that time, on Mount Riwangchen, there was one called 'Joyful Enemy Sword Wielder' (Gawa Jeda Deta Chen), who was skilled in the use of weapons and practiced asceticism. He vowed not to teach the use of weapons to anyone who was not a Brahmin. So, the Earringed One disguised himself as a Brahmin and learned the use of weapons. After he had learned it, he went to Tab Dai, and in order to be attached to him, he devoted himself to him. Tab Dai then gave him the country of Anga, making him the king of Anga. This Earringed One was very brave in giving. On his body was a naturally formed armor that produced fire, which no one could withstand. When Indra learned that Arjuna and the Earringed One were about to fight, in order to protect his son Arjuna, Indra disguised himself as a Brahmin and went to the Earringed One. The Earringed One invited him as a guest and asked him three times what his purpose was, but he did not clearly state it. When asked for the seventh time, he said: I want your armor. The Earringed One said: Why didn't you say so earlier? I will give it to you without hesitation. Saying this, he took a vajra razor and cut off the armor from his own body and gave it to him. Indra was very pleased and said: For the sake of pleasing the beggar, not even considering one's own life, there is no giver like the Earringed One, and there is no one as heartless as me. Having said this, he left.
