When the preceding and following sentences are connected, it is easy to understand them as other meanings, thereby hiding or obscuring the meaning to be expressed, which is called a "universally assembled enigma." That is, the preceding and following sentences are universally assembled, causing the words to become other meanings. The second case is that the hidden object and the hiding object have the same sound in name, but the sound of the hiding object is more widely known, making it impossible to understand it as the name of the less famous hidden object, thereby misleading on any object to be hidden, which is called "misleading." The third case is that the order of the combination of sentences is very confusing, causing confusion in the understanding of meaning, which is called "disorder," that is, becoming an enigma. The fourth case is that in any combination, the hidden object to be expressed was not widely known before, but in meaning, if expressed in that way, it is only a name that can be used, and if examined, it is only that there is a definition that can be used, even if it cannot be understood in that way, the combination of words that is difficult to easily understand the meaning is called "completely destroyed." The fifth case is that instead of directly stating the object to be expressed, another object with the same attributes as it is used to refer to it, and the combination of such words combines the two, which is a "similar image enigma." The sixth case is that it only has the characteristics of suffixes and case usages, etc., as described in grammar, or it can only be described in that way, and the combination of words with definitions is called "rough," which needs to be carefully examined. The seventh case is that in any place, only the number of things to be expressed is stated, which completely confuses people about the true meaning of things with that number, which is called the "enigma of number itself," and should be understood in this way. The eighth case is that in any place, the object to be hidden itself is transformed into a sentence meaning similar to it, or into other forms of sentence combination, which is the "enigma of thorough examination." The ninth case is that in any place, the name of the hidden object is not directly stated, but the name is regarded as a form of other names with various different meanings, mixed together, and when viewed directly, it is only that the name is not stated, but in fact the hidden object is not obvious, but if examined carefully, it will be found that the name of the hidden object has been shown in the sentence, which is the "uncollected name." The tenth case is that the words of expression touch both the hidden object and the hiding object, and the two have the same attributes, and from this, the understanding of the hiding object is clear and close.

Therefore, hiding other things, that is the hidden riddle. Eleventh, without mentioning the real name of the thing to be hidden, but separating the letters of that name, or the whole is also fine, by using the sound of the synonyms of the thing's name, to accomplish that name, that is the sound-consistent riddle. Twelfth, when those things to be expressed manifestly show the meaning, but those words again make one confused, therefore it is called the completely confusing riddle. Thirteenth, in any speech, through many sequentially connected words, expressing the meaning to be shown, the nature of being interconnected like a chain, that is called the completely robbing riddle. If connected sequentially, the meaning can be understood, but if not understood in that way, it will completely rob the thing to be expressed. Fourteenth, in any place, not expressing the dependent like a body, but hiding it, while the depended-on like a limb manifestly appears, that is called the riddle of hiding one. Fifteenth, in any place, both the dependent and the depended-on are hidden, that is called hiding both. Sixteenth, in any speech, mixing together the various characteristics of those riddles as described above, that is called completely mixed. These are the sixteen forms of riddles, which were elucidated by the previous scholars. Besides these, there are about fourteen other inferior riddles, which were spoken by those previous ones. However, those inferior riddles do not have the characteristics to qualify as true riddles. Therefore, it should be recognized that such defective riddles that do not possess characteristics should not be counted as the number of riddles. Therefore, I, the staff-holder, again following in the footsteps of the previous scholars, will express through examples these sixteen excellent riddles that possess the characteristics of riddles, they said. Although the words of expression, whether from the perspective of sound or meaning, have many bad statements that do not possess characteristics, even after careful examination, the meaning cannot be understood. But this is the defect of the language combination that stupid people express without understanding, therefore it should not be counted as a riddle. Thus it is said. Second, there are sixteen examples of riddles. The first, the example of the completely gathered riddle is: With the heart of a cow's corpse, why be angry at the one without knowledge? Place
