The formless Dharmakaya, the realm of Dharma, gradually focuses on the unconditioned, abandoning the former, and rests in the state of non-elaboration for a moment. From that state, one arises with the appearance of an ordinary self abiding in the body of fruition, viewing it as illusory and resting. In short, as long as one recites, one must recite with meditation. The mind, being of the nature of non-conceptualization, focuses on the appearance of the Bodhicitta as a spotless lunar disc, giving rise to a clear appearance that is extremely familiar, unmoving and unchanging, which is the very meditation on the letters of the secret mantra garland. The basis for bestowing accomplishments is to meditate on the heart of the Buddha's body visualized in front, and from that meditation, the basis for receiving accomplishments is also to meditate on the heart of one's own deity body. For the sake of the very basis where the secret mantra garland of one's own deity resides and is placed, the appearance of the lunar disc that is examined, the nature of the mind, the utterly pure nature of Bodhicitta, must be carefully contemplated. This verse shows that one should meditate on placing the moon and mantra garland in the hearts of both oneself and the visualized deity in front. Therefore, one must practice diligently without distraction, so that all the winds that move through the gates of the senses such as the eyes, by gathering them back into one's own body, they do not scatter outwards, and are drawn in without wavering. The life-force and effort, and the mind's movements and thoughts, both do not move, and the mind is bound as one. This mind needs to understand the principles of secret mantra, and with wisdom, focus unwaveringly on the letters of the mantra. Thus, by binding the winds of arising and entering, the functions of the senses, and the various thoughts of the mind, without scattering outwards and focusing on one point, one cannot utter sounds in speech, so one should focus solely on reciting with the mind. By not separating from the ritual of binding the life-force and effort, or one can also relax slightly and recite in a whisper, but reciting with the mind is supreme. Therefore, those who desire mantra knowledge and accomplishment should not perform other recitations with speech other than the method just described. In short, binding the life-force and the senses,

Without letting (consciousness) run out through the door, relax the eyes slightly, as if half-closed, and focus intently on the three bases in front. In between breaths, visualize your own body as the deity itself. Continue in this way until the recitation is finished. When exhaling, visualize the moon and mantra garland in the heart of the deity in front as unchanging. When inhaling, mainly focus on those three (bases) of your own, alternating between them. Remaining in such a state is called the purification of mind, that is, the purification without afflictions such as attachment. Because the target is clear and without obscuration, one should remain in such purity. When reciting, let yourself rest as previously explained. The great teacher Sangye Sangwa said to visualize the deity in front as slightly taller than your own size. Second, summarizing the meaning. It is indicated by the verse "The vidya-mantra itself, without remainder," etc., that is, the suchness of the vidya-mantra, the order of meditating on the six deities without remainder, and the ritual of meditating on one's own suchness, the nature of which is not established, but merely appears as the body of the deity, the nature of self-luminous clarity, and the suchness of recitation, possessing four branches. If one understands well these three supreme meanings, then the person who practices mantra will undoubtedly attain accomplishment. Second, explaining the limbs of recitation in detail, divided into explaining the three suchnesses of recitation, and explaining the ways of approaching the vidya-mantra, etc., in two ways. First, divided into indicating the place of recitation, and explaining the three suchnesses of the meditation instructions for recitation, in two ways. First, indicated by the verse "Secluded garden," etc., that is, the place of recitation is a secluded garden away from people and a riverbank, a mountain cave and a mountaintop, and a forest, etc., any place possessing characteristics. Ordained ones and those who abide in the conduct of vidya-mantra, or mantra practitioners who restrain their own continuum with vows such as the Uposatha, should engage in the meditation of recitation and abide there. Second, divided into the actual path and explaining its limbs in two ways. First, divided into brief indication and detailed explanation in two ways. First, indicated by the verse "Secret mantra abides like fire," etc., that is, uttering the mantra in the mouth
