Action is said to be wind, effort is called remembrance. Having subdued these two, recite a million times. As it is said, life is the wind, the mount of the moving conceptual thoughts. Thus, the doors of the senses such as the eyes and ears, and the marks and holes, up to the ends of the hairs and body hairs, all those that wander are like a turtle retracting its body, and like a tongue sucking water, they are gathered inward, and those exhaling and inhaling are stopped in their own place. Effort, in this context, is remembrance, that is, the various efforts of the mind, stopping those that move, and subduing them without moving from what is focused on, therefore it is called subduing life and effort. At other times, life, that is, the movement of the wind, is stopped by effort, and the wind is bound in its own place, therefore the subduing of immortal life and effort is called life and effort. Here, it should be understood as above. Explaining the truth of recitation through the gateway of having that method. The sound of the string of letters of the mantra, and the nature of bodhicitta, the pure lunar mandala, and the first basis focused on the Tathagata in front, when that becomes stable, it is called the unchanging basis of the secret mantra. When it becomes stable on other bases as well, add the unchanging basis of the secret mantra to understand. Or it is okay to connect the unchanging basis of the secret mantra downwards, because the later basis is oneself visualizing as the form of the deity, and my reality is also like that. The word clarifying in the middle, 'unchanging secret mantra,' means that the four limbs appear simultaneously and become stable, and it is called the unchanging basis of the secret mantra. Thus, the sound of the mantra, and the bodhicitta lunar mandala, and the two bases of visualizing oneself as the deity in front, that is, having the four limbs, therefore it is the truth of recitation with complete limbs. Therefore, in that state, the secret mantra itself should be recited as much as possible in the mind or in a whisper. That is also said in the Manifest Enlightenment of the All-Seeing One: 'Letters combine with letters, similarly from basis becoming basis, in the extremely subdued mind, recite a million times.' Letters are bodhicitta, the second is called sound.

The base is to establish one's own deity, to act on the place of one's own body. The second base is the complete Buddha, know the two-legged supreme one. The lunar mandala is completely pure, the mantra practitioner contemplates residing in it. The letters are in order, placed well in its center. Suppress it with words of re-collection. Purify the life force and effort. As it is said, in the tantras, previously, without verbal recitation, through meditation, mantras are accomplished and yoga attains liberation. Although it is said so, which limb is focused on for recitation, and the methods of mental recitation and whispering recitation are not clearly shown. Therefore, this tantra is named the "Later Meditation" because it clearly shows these. Moreover, the reciter who appears in the yoga of one's own deity, focuses on the string of secret mantra letters arranged on the completely pure lunar mandala, which is the nature of bodhicitta, in the heart of the Thus Gone One residing in front of oneself, and recites while restraining the life force and effort. Thus, these four bases of sound, mind, self, and deity are called the four bases because they are the basis for the arising of accomplishments. The reason why the base of self is called the base is that the aggregates of phenomena such as mind and mental events are the basis for ordinary sentient beings to discriminate between self and other. Here, it refers to the nature of self, other, and deity, which becomes the basis for the arising of accomplishments. If one is not separated from the samadhi that possesses these four, the limbs of the mantra will not degenerate, but if separated, they will degenerate. It is said that the first three limbs should not abandon the object of meditation on the base of the deity in front, and one should not abandon pride in the base of oneself, but should remain in a state where the four bases are simultaneously clear. If one becomes tired, one should abandon the object of meditation on oneself, the deity in front, and the mantra, and rise and rest by thinking of one's own body as ordinary. It is said that the way to abandon the object of meditation is to think about the shape of the letters in front, and then abandon the object of meditation on the sound. Abandon the object of meditation on the letters and focus only on the lunar disc, abandon that and focus only on the body of the Thus Gone One, abandon that and focus on the body of one's own deity. The sound, letters, moon, and deity body in its heart, and the nature of non-discrimination, the body of wisdom.
