Meditation is, the end of sound is called the disappearance of sound, the place of disappearance is the place of self-nature pure Dharmakaya. Here, by abiding in it, manifesting it, and completely abandoning self-nature, one abandons the conceptual thought that appears as the sound of mantra. Abiding is abandoning the focus on the syllables of the elements of form. Manifestation is the sound of mental recitation and whispered recitation. Self-nature is abandoning the appearance as sound. To show such meaning, it is said: becoming the place of sound or the basis of the arising of recitation, appearing as a dependent element, all the dependent efforts of the mantra practitioner meditating on his body as a deity, etc., and the sound of the mantra spoken in a whisper, and the recitation appearing in the mind, and the words appearing as the sound of mantra, all abandon the focus on the unmanifested Dharmadhatu, thereby purification is the Vidyāmantra empowerment, that is, the king of mantras. The Dharmata or Dharmadhatu of all dharmas, abandoning all the characteristics or elements of elaboration, this is the Suchness of all dharmas such as mantras, which is known and realized by the Victorious Ones. Meditating on this liberates from the two obscurations. Again, explaining the meaning of dependence: again gathering, and asceticism and meditation with four limbs, and breath control, and drawing mandalas and offerings and fire offerings and all ritual activities, and examining with wisdom to determine the Suchness of oneself, etc. In short, mantra practitioners who abide in the efforts of various different consciousnesses, temporarily, that is, at that time and at that moment, are dependent. Thus, when striving in dependent or characterized yoga, one should be good at guarding the three doors, possessing great asceticism that is the antidote to afflictions, continuous and undiminished, and possessing the Dharma of truly realizing the Suchness of oneself, the means of generating it in one's own mindstream, possessing the supreme Vidyāmantra conduct, all the elements of mantra such as re-gathering are dependent, that is, liberated from the bondage of external objects such as form, and the mantra is accomplished by the blessing of the deity, therefore, possessing the elements or parts or elaborations of the form of the deity.
