The truthful words of an old ascetic. The meaning of the innate mind of clear light, spoken according to the transmission of the victorious vidyadharas, is called Vajra Essence. An examination of the meaning of the innate mind of clear light, the Great Perfection's ground, path, and fruit, distinguishing wisdom's appearance. A collection of scattered sayings on the subject of innate mind side notes, gathered into a Diamond Jewel Rosary. Various sayings on the difficult points of general texts such as Madhyamaka, gathered into one place, called Jewel Ornament, which is placed here as a continuation of the above. The fourth root is about dedication, aspiration, and auspicious words. Commentary on the Guru, Yidam, and Mothers. Aspiration for the flourishing of the early translation teachings, the Dharma King's pleasing instructions, etc. The Excellent Conduct with section divisions and commentary. The Sun of Scripture, which accomplishes birth in Sukhavati. Aspiration for practicing the meaning of the four causes. Aspiration for the Copper-Colored Glorious Mountain. Madhyamaka aspiration, the root of the play of appearance and emptiness like water and moon. With section divisions and commentary. Aspiration for the flourishing of the medical teachings. Three Jewels, Three Roots, and Mothers. I from here, etc., various aspirations. Auspicious ritual, Glorious Calf. Verses of the Noble Eight Auspicious Ones. Melodious sound of accomplishing all auspicious meanings. Supreme accomplishment of auspiciousness. The auspicious topics spoken in the sutras. The excellent explanations shown above are indispensable for all individuals who are not tainted by sectarian bias, and especially for the early translators, so Gyaltsab Rinpoche, with his compassionate intention, collected and printed them, which is a great kindness and an unparalleled practice. Thus, here I have not been able to copy in detail all the actual manuscripts of the omniscient lama and other handwritten and printed copies, but only briefly describe the general outline. Most of the works composed by the Lord himself from a young age onwards have already been given to those who requested them. In addition, although there are many sayings of the Lord that are definitely his, which are not recorded in detail here because they were printed by Shezhong, Katok, Palpung, Dzongsar, etc., and kept in their own places, the Lord himself said: "Although there are many works composed by me in other places, it is better to leave aside those that I do not know whether they are mine or not." Therefore, based on this, and having personally seen the Lord's handwriting.

and whatever is determined to be the words of the master, based on not having heard of the source of history, etc., whatever category it belongs to, whatever Dhīḥ (藏文:དྷཱིཿ,梵文天城体:धीः,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思: धीः) mark it has, it must be collected there. As a supplementary explanation, it is said that a total of thirty-two volumes are collected, symbolizing auspiciousness. Thirdly, finally, explaining the necessity and benefit of collecting such virtues. In general, there are two types of necessity and benefit: propagating the teachings and, in particular, printing and honoring them. First, there are two types: the necessity of fulfilling the aspirations and becoming an offering of gratitude, and the supreme necessity of benefiting the teachings and sentient beings. The first is that, for this great being, in the definitive sense, the wisdom dharmakaya of all Buddhas, the spring glory of the disciples pervading the sky, in order to tame all kinds of beings, the form body manifests as a play of the wisdom illusory network that tames whatever is to be tamed, for the essential teachings in the definitive sense and for the sake of infinite sentient beings, the chief of the activities that arise from the needs of thought and desire, freeing beings from all the decline of samsara and nirvana, thereby easily leading them directly or indirectly to the supreme state of perfect two benefits, in order to unerringly show the five sciences and their branches that show the way of taking and abandoning, as an unparalleled lamp of illumination, in general, and in particular, the essential teachings of sutra and tantra, sealed with the six extremes and four modes of expression, which have become like a lamp in a painting, the commentaries, treatises, instructions, and practices that he composed as a basis for restoration, such as the Bodhicitta Commentary, which are no different from the actual words of Vajradhara Buddha, if they are preserved without deteriorating, it is the nourishment of gratitude, the joyful offering of fulfilling aspirations, the great means of accomplishing the two benefits, the supreme necessity of naturally obtaining the immaculate eye of wisdom, as the noble ones have said. The second is that the cause of all benefits and happiness arising from freeing infinite beings from all the sufferings of this life and future lives is the precious Buddha Dharma, as Shantideva said: The only medicine for the suffering of beings, The place where all happiness arises, May the teachings be found and honored, And may they remain for a long time.
