Since many who are well-versed in the path of learning, contemplation, and meditation, and who are renowned for their erudition, are no match for him, if one understands these treatises according to how they establish the system of the Vehicle of Cause and Effect, then even if intelligent people examine them through various means of reasoning, when their wisdom increases, they will be certain that it is as the Dharma Lord (referring to the author) has taught, and they will see that it cannot be transformed into any other form. Just like the scriptures of the two great chariots (referring to Nāgārjuna and Asaṅga), the words of this great being are also definitely superior to other treatises. In particular, in order to practice the swift path of attaining Buddhahood in one lifetime, which is the ultimate of all Secret Mantra Vajrayāna paths—the practice of Great Perfection Atiyoga—in order to clearly and nakedly reveal the meaning of the profound tantras, transmissions, and instructions of Great Perfection without the slightest stain of error, these profound instructions are like eyes for those who seek the essential meaning of practice, as praised by the supreme seers. The writings of this great being are for all unbiased individuals who seek liberation, and especially for those who are born under the teachings of the Early Translation Nyingma school and who claim to uphold its tenets, if they can understand the system of the Vehicle of Cause and Effect and all assertions in the way that this Lord has approved, then they will truly be worthy of the name Nyingma. If it is different from this, then they have gone beyond the scope of the Early Translation school's tenets, like a prince wandering as a beggar. Those who wish to practice the true meaning should also mainly engage in teaching, listening, contemplation, and meditation on these treatises, because there has never been, is not now, and will never be anything more excellent than what is explained in this Lord's treatises regarding the key points of practice such as Great Perfection. Therefore, the Nyingmapas should abandon relying solely on the recitation of practice rituals and brief guidebooks from their respective treasure texts, and the attachment to holding one doctrine in one place, and instead take the writings of Jamyang Lama (referring to the author) as the common essence, and engage in the ten Dharma activities such as listening, writing, teaching, contemplating, and meditating, according to their ability.

It is necessary to adapt and apply according to various circumstances. Even according to the perspective of the Early Translation Nyingma school, it is because no one can compare to the views of the previous great scholars and translators, and the teachings of the Dharma Lord Kunkhyen Chenpo (Omniscient Great One), who received the transmission of the King of Vehicles, the Clear Light Heart Essence, and the profound meaning of the Secret Essence lineage, which establishes the unerring and immaculate essence, and reveals it openly and without concealment, just as it is. These treatises are like an indestructible vajra view that no one can refute. If one studies, examines, and familiarizes oneself with these scriptures that explain the Buddha's intention as it is, then, through the incomparable blessing and radiance, and the power of the transference of wisdom, the difficult points of all lineages will be naturally liberated, and spontaneous certainty will arise regarding the meaning of the innate nature of mind, and one will abide in it, thereby attaining immeasurable qualities. Therefore, for those with intelligence and fortune, this can enable them to generate genuine confidence in their own minds. Some foolish and conceited people say, "Our own Dharma is enough, we don't need anything else." Others say, "The tantras, scriptures, and commentaries of the Nyingma school are very sacred, and even textual corrections are not allowed." Still others say, "The terma teachings are very sacred, and even ritual arrangements are not allowed." In the past, present, and future, there will always be those who utter these foolish secret words in the presence of the wise. It is true that the tantras, scriptures, and profound treatises of the Nyingma school, and the immaculate vajra words of the terma teachings, are both profound and sacred. If one were to make speculative alterations to these texts, or explain them incorrectly in a perverse way, that would certainly not be allowed. However, if one identifies textual errors and corrects them, making them into correct versions, or if qualified Dharma masters who understand the meaning arrange the terma teachings into practice rituals, how could that not be allowed? Know that these teachings are taught precisely for the purpose of being practiced. And before practicing, one needs to cut through additions and subtractions through contemplation, and before contemplation, one needs to hear the correct version. If one knows nothing of the meaning of the teachings, yet keeps the scriptures in the dark, or allows ordinary outsiders who do not understand the meaning...
