The so-called "contradiction" refers to making statements that contradict the established tenets. For example, the Vaisheshikas say, "Atoms are not corporeal, therefore they are not agents." They say that this contradicts their own doctrine, which states that atoms are agents. Because these are not independent fallacies in terms of establishing the property of the subject and contradicting the pledge. Therefore, the Samkhyas say, "Prakriti is not a cause, because it is not sentient." This also becomes an uncertain reason, because it must be admitted to be contradictory. The third is "identical to the occasion." It is established to show from where to begin. For example, "I am permanent, because I am not other than the body." Like this, because this reason exists in both aspects, it will become an uncertain reason, but this is not a separate fallacy. Not other than the body, is the object of investigation itself establishing the other, or the investigation is the same as what is to be established, that is, establishing without difference from what is to be established, for example, "Sound is permanent, because it is not tangible, like consciousness." They say that this is like the reason itself also needs to be established, so it needs to be established

If there is non-existence, then what is the relation of non-existence itself? This is to be well shown in examples with forward similarity and backward dissimilarity. Among them, forward similarity is to show affirmation by excluding similar examples that do not have common properties, and to show negation of characteristics by showing that there is no absence in the backward dissimilar aspect. For example, the reverse is: the unmade is pervaded by the permanent. The forward is: from destruction, it can be determined that there is a result or made here. If these two are stated in succession, then it is not desired that there is no non-arising and no non-pervasion. If there is a commonality of similarity in one aspect of these two, and a difference in one aspect of non-similarity, or if the contradiction that exists only in the dissimilar aspect also becomes proof, then one or both of them can be left unstated, so two examples should be made. Just as one understands the measurable from the reason, in order to generate the same certainty in the other party, therefore, one should abandon the permanent dharma-possessor, the abiding in the property of the subject, and the other thesis, proximate cause, etc., of what is to be proven, said, or shown, which has the relation of non-arising of the reason-dharma. In that case, the example is not to be stated as a separate, independent branch of proof from the reason, because it only represents and shows the meaning of pervasion in one aspect. The example of proximity is not meaningless like the measure of the three aggregates, because it establishes and shows the relation of the reason. If one considers the property of the subject, then the example is not like that. If two kinds of forward and backward are stated, then according to that, the example is considered as a separate branch, but by doing so, the argument is faulty. If it is a separate branch other than showing pervasion, then that is unreasonable, because if it is separated from pervasion, it will become the same as worldly people, because it is only an example without pervasive connection. Those worldly people say, the sound is like a pot, it is made, and state it as an example, without needing pervasion, only stating similarity. If the relation between what is to be proven and what is to be proven is abandoned, and only an example is established, then it will only become a similar proximity.
