said. Whatever appears as the sign that makes one understand the dharma to be proven is mostly based on the paksha-dharma (affinity), so before explaining the differences in meaning such as valid reasoning and seeming reasoning, the paksha-dharma should be explained in detail, because all seeming establishments are based on paksha-dharma, and even if they are contradictory and uncertain, they can be understood through meaning and validity. Therefore, there are nine divisions of paksha-dharma: In the positive side, there are two types: pervasive and non-pervasive, with three roots. Each of these paksha-dharma roots has three aspects, that is, each of them also has two differences of existence and non-existence in the dissimilar side, so there are nine types in total. Because the collection or combination of dharma and dharmin (possessor of dharma) is to be proven, the separate existence of dharma and dharmin, although not actually paksha or to be proven, is not a fault because it is one aspect of dharmin, so it is expressed by giving dharmin the name of what is to be proven. In this regard, some translations say: "Because the sign is the collection to be proven, dharma and dharmin, although not the main ones, are considered to be what is to be proven because they are one aspect." This has been said. Because affirmative and negative statements arise from the dharma of the sign that is commonly established for both opponents, refuting or arguing for either or any of the two, or doubting the sign, or merely establishing the dharma, that is, when the dharmin is established, the dharma is established, such as because one can observe my qualities of happiness, etc., it is not considered to be able to establish. Like this, all those who do not accept it cannot only not establish, but also cannot refute. If both parties are completely established, then it can be refuted or established, and those who are intellectually deficient due to other reasons, if they can be established, and are established again, are considered to be able to establish. Here some people say that from the dharmin smoke, the separate dharmin of fire is established. If only fire is established, if the relationship is certain, then fire can be established by that alone. If only the dharma of smoke is established as the dharma of fire, then it is the paksha sign of the proposition. Others say that from the dharmin smoke, the dharma of fire, warmth, is also established, which is the same as before. If the dharmin establishes the dharma, then the main existence

It is like establishing the subsequent going, etc., to all things, because it has been previously prohibited, therefore, merely the subject that has abandoned the Dharma, and the Dharma that has abandoned the subject, are an unreasonable collection. Thus it is said. Therefore, the four single propositions are not suitable to be established. Just as the subject is merely fire, like smoke, it is not established by the subject. The Dharma of the sign is also not a single Dharma, like this, the Dharma of the sign establishes the Dharma of non-arising without it, and it is established on the subject, therefore, the subject possessing that Dharma is also established in the same way, etc., the meaning is established. Sound is not permanent, because it would lead to karma being permanent, or it would lead to constant appearance, when refuting in this way, even if the pervasion is not established, that statement is reasonable, if asked in this way. Even if there is no pervasion, that is not a statement establishing it, it is merely a refutation. For the opponent's commitment, refuting anything that is not desired with the words of the sign, this is said to be answering the debater's intention, or it is known as refutation, know that, merely through the undesired refutation, to combine the words. Whatever words directly show the reason following the Dharma to be established, that is the example of similarity, and the Dharma to be established is not there, it is said to be without a sign, that is the example of dissimilarity, thus there are two. There, since the example-possessor is established from the example, there are two examples with the source or having the fifth side. From closely combining the sign and the subject of dispute, such words are desired. Even if saying either of the two words, similarity or dissimilarity, is acceptable, but in reality, it only arises from the reason of combining the sign with the subject of dispute. For that, there are two situations, due to the reason of showing the example. That is, due to the reason of combining that with the sign. For that, according to the Samkhya school, the words of the sign are excluded and appear, and the complete two are desired. The first is to exclude the other side and establish one's own side, that is, a refutation in meaning. For that, if it is said on what basis it is excluded and appears, then it would become without the reason establishing it, because there is no pervasion for that. Moreover, the subject possessing pervasion must be established from the two examples of similarity and dissimilarity. If it is said that exclusion and appearance have that, then, because there is that, that becomes not different from the words establishing completeness. Moreover, refutation is not possessing pervasion
