May you be weary of the pleasures of desire, which are as endless as space! Third, if you wonder what will happen if you are not weary, know that desires are the source of all evil, giving rise to great faults. The King of Victors said it is like the Kimba fruit. The Kimba fruit is a tree that grows on an island in the far western ocean, and its fruit is sweet, but if eaten in the morning, it causes death in the afternoon. Therefore, we should avoid these, for the iron chains of desire bind this world helplessly in the prison of samsara. Fourth, those who conquer the six senses, such as the eyes, which are always unstable, moving, and indulging in their respective objects (such as the colors seen by the eyes), and those who conquer the hosts of enemies on the battlefield. Of these two, the wise consider the former to be the true hero. The reason is that "hero" means steadfast, meaning not controlled by others. It is not difficult to merely conquer enemies on the battlefield, because there is no one who is not accustomed from beginningless time to following the senses and being controlled by them. Therefore, conquering the senses is a thousand times more difficult than conquering enemies on the battlefield. In short, even animals can conquer enemies on the battlefield, but even the gods find it difficult to conquer the senses. The second part includes avoiding desire by fully understanding the body of a woman, who is the chief of desires in the desire realm, and avoiding desire by understanding the general nature of desire. First, concerning the body of a young woman: measure it with wisdom from another perspective. It emits a foul odor, has nine openings, is impure, not just like a garbage heap, but like a container filled with thirty-two substances such as feces, urine, and blood, which is difficult to fill no matter how much one eats and drinks. Such an impure container is covered with skin, and the ornaments that cover it, such as gold, silver, and clothes, should also be viewed from another perspective—that is, understand the body and ornaments separately. Second, just as lepers are afflicted by worms crawling under their skin, they always rely on fire for the sake of feeling pleasure, and even though doing so seems to temporarily stop the worms from crawling, it does not cure the disease, but rather causes even more pain.

Just like hatred, know that attachment to desires will not subside, but will increase even more. Second, regarding being disturbed by the eight worldly dharmas, there are two types: the antidote and what is to be abandoned. The first is further divided into the actual antidote and the explanation of the faults and merits of having or not having that antidote. First, in order to observe the ultimate reality, which is the truth of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, one should become accustomed to contemplating the reality of things as they are. Similarly, there is no other dharma that is worthy of praise and possesses merits, that is, the Arhat who has subdued the mind. Second, even those who possess noble birth, beautiful appearance, and extensive learning, if they lack the wisdom of proper reflection and the discipline of proper conduct, are not worthy of respect. Therefore, anyone who possesses these two qualities of wisdom and discipline of proper thought and conduct, even if he lacks other qualities such as noble birth, is worthy of offering. Second, regarding what is to be abandoned, there are two types: the eight worldly dharmas themselves, and the exhortation to abandon the sinful results thereof. First, it is called knowing the ways of the world, that is, gaining and not gaining enjoyment, physical and mental happiness and unhappiness, hearing pleasant and unpleasant sounds, praise in front and slander behind, these eight worldly dharmas, worldly people abide in this, rely on this, practice this, and cannot transcend this. These are not objects that those with noble character should keep in mind and cling to; one should maintain equanimity towards all things, such as praise and slander. Second, there are two types: the actual situation and the reasons why it must be abandoned. First, not only for your own benefit, but also for the sake of the Brahmins, monks, and gods who should be offered to, as well as guests who have become friends, parents, and also wives and retinues, do not commit sins, because when you yourself experience the ripening of the fruit of hell, there is no one else who will share or bear the portion of that ripening. Second, no matter who commits sinful actions, even if they are not cut off immediately like being struck by a sword, when the time of death comes, the karma of evil deeds
