In those places, they will constantly suffer. Secondly, there are two aspects: understanding suffering and advising to abandon its cause. In the first aspect, there are two considerations: the reality of suffering and how it arises in different places and ways. Firstly, some sentient beings born in places of gathering and destruction are crushed like sesame seeds with iron pestles. Similarly, others are hammered on burning iron anvils with iron hammers, pulverized like fine powder. Some black lines are sawn like with a saw, and others are split with terrible axes with sharp blades. Similarly, others have molten copper juice, boiling and blazing, poured into their mouths on the banks of immeasurable rivers and other places. Some in the hot hells are bound all around like garlands to iron bright trees with thorns, blazing with fire. Some in the sword forest are terrified and frightened by dogs with iron fangs, who bark fiercely, raising their hands to the sky. There, helplessly driven by karma, others are pecked or snatched by crows with sharp iron beaks and terrible claws. Some in that nearby place are eaten by worms and beetles born from their bodies, and by various kinds of creatures born from outside, with different colors, shapes, and species, and by hundreds of thousands of flesh-eating flies and black bees. Merely touching their lips causes terrible wounds to appear, and they devour them, twisting their bodies and uttering groans and mantras due to the feeling of pain. Some in the hot hells are constantly burned in a blazing fire, their mouths gaping open, with no other recourse. Some are cooked in a large, extremely hot, iron made and burning copper pot, their whole bodies like grains of rice, boiled like rice porridge, causing extreme suffering. Secondly, there are three considerations: when it arises, how unbearable it is when it arises, and how long it lasts. Firstly, the moment the breath exhaled from the mouths of sinners and others ceases or stops, with no other interval of time, they have already heard of the immeasurable or inconceivable suffering of hell, and it is also empty.

Du. Those who are fearless, their heart is of the nature of Vajra, extremely firm. Second, consider the three aspects of general, specific, and example. First, the image of hell, whether written in words, drawn in pictures, or heard in stories, or remembered in one's mind, or recited, or shaped from clay into figures on the wall, all these cause fear. If one were to personally experience the extremely unbearable ripening result, what need is there to say? Second, among all happiness, the fruit of liberation, which is the complete cessation of the three realms of existence, is like becoming the king or master of happiness. Similarly, among all sufferings, the suffering of the Avici hell is the most unbearable and the greatest. Third, in this human world, the suffering of being stabbed continuously with three hundred short spears with great force in a single day cannot even represent a small fraction of the suffering of sentient beings in hell, not even a hint of comparison, let alone compete with it. Third, the duration. As mentioned earlier, even if one experiences such unbearable suffering for eight billion years, as long as the cause of non-virtuous karma is not exhausted, one will not be separated from life and will continue to endure it. Second, abandoning its cause. The seeds of the aforementioned non-virtuous results are the great misdeeds of body, such as killing, speech, such as lying, and mind, such as covetousness. Therefore, King, you must strive with all your might to avoid even a speck of these misdeeds. This is the advice. Second, the suffering of animals is divided into general suffering and specific, scattered suffering. First, being born in the animal realm, one suffers from being killed by other beings, being bound by ropes, being beaten by whips, and various harms caused by humans and non-humans. For those who have abandoned the virtues of the path to liberation that leads to peaceful Nirvana, they will experience the ripening results or extremely painful states of being submerged in samsara, where they devour each other.
