From the Mahayana Sutra called "Gyadpa": In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Invincible Banner," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "Extremely Widely Proclaimed Glory." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Joyful to See," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "All-Illuminating." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Without Manifest Joy," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "Victorious Glory." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Extremely Pure Assembly," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "King of the Banner of the Crown of Power." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Dust-Free Assembly," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "King of the Power of Light with Limitless Qualities." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Non-Deceptive," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "Glory of Unobstructed Display." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Golden Assembly," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "He Who Walks Upon the Precious Lotus with Complete Subjugation." In the eastern world, in the Buddha-field called "Pleasant Sound," I prostrate to the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named "King of the Mountain of Power Firmly Abiding on the Precious Lotus." These Buddhas are now living and teaching the Dharma, and their fields are completely pure, without the five degenerations. If one hears, holds, reads, and understands the names of these eight Buddhas, and also teaches them to others, one will not go to the three lower realms or among the Asuras, will not be born in unfavorable circumstances, and will not twice take the form of a woman. There will be no fear from gods, nagas, yakshas, humans and non-humans, rakshasas, etc., and from kings, thieves, fire, water, poison, or weapons. Whoever enters the Mahayana, if they recite these names and sleep at night, they will fall asleep peacefully,

Will awaken, and when dreaming sinful dreams, the gods will protect. If worldly affairs are undertaken, they will increase and not decrease. Those who hold these names, from now until enlightenment, will never lose their psychic powers, dharani, complete faculties, name, and increasing wisdom, and will not be separated from Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Shravakas. By honoring the Buddhas, for hundreds of millions of kalpas, a fragrant aroma will emanate from the mouth. Possessing great miracles, being born from a lotus in the heart, pleasing to parents, relatives, and siblings, never being poor, and receiving prophecies from the Buddhas. Thus it was said. The Noble Eight Auspicious Ones, from the Mahayana Sutra. The son of the Licchavi, Great Strength, requested the Bhagavan to reveal which Buddha, dwelling with perfect past aspirations, would be free from the fear and harm of humans and non-humans upon hearing of them, whose speech could not be refuted or suppressed by anyone, whose name-holders would not dream sinful dreams even in sleep, whose bodies would not be harmed by weapons in battle, and who would be liberated from it in peace.
