Earth harm. How to observe whether it is harmful or beneficial, if you see it staying there without being harmful or beneficial, say "It is like that", then relax your mind and stay natural. If you recognize the nature of awareness, abide in it. If you don't recognize it, also think "Whatever happens, whatever it is, let it be", and stay relaxed. By this example, do the same for all external doubts. The bigger the doubt, the more you do this, the smaller the doubt becomes, and the more experience you gain, thereby overcoming the doubts of demons. Mipham. The first instruction that emerged from the secret of the awareness that pleases Manjushri. Such a profound instruction is rare and profound in the world. The second instruction is to dissolve into the inner and outer: When the body is disturbed by illness and there is nothing to do and nothing helps, think "Why is it like this, it seems that this illusory body is bearing it". If there is no body, what will happen? Because of clinging to this body as mine and thinking that there is only one body of me in the world, it is only bearing it. This body is also dependent on the sperm and blood of the parents and suddenly arises without having existed before. It is composed of various impure substances, loose, a collection of fine particles, changing in an instant from birth to death, a city of various diseases composed of elements, and is ultimately destined to be abandoned, decaying and flowing away. And determine that the hard elements such as flesh and bones of this body are no different from the outer earth element. Similarly, warmth is fire, breath is wind, blood and liquid are water. Diseases arise from the changes of the four elements. Even though these collections of elements appear so real, if they are broken down into parts, even down to fine particles, they can be destroyed. They are each unmixed, each existing in its own place, can be destroyed, can be broken down, almost about to separate, loose and without essence, like a bubble in water. If analyzed to fine particles, even fine particles cannot be established. Therefore, even though the foundation and root are not established, due to the habit from beginningless time, the clinging to the appearance of the body is very strong, the body appears real, becomes the basis of benefit and harm, and is the door to receiving happiness and suffering. Even if it does not exist after analysis, the appearance cannot be stopped, just like the moon in water, dreams, and illusions, let wisdom produce definite knowledge. Then, in order to destroy the clinging to the body, recite "ཕཊ་(藏文,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:发)", so that all the elements inside, such as flesh and bones, are scattered like being hooked by an iron hook, and merge with the outer elements.

One should contemplate in this way. Likewise, with each (ཕཊ་, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, meaning: shatter) syllable, visualize that blood, heat, and breath mingle together, and your own body vanishes. Then, with a single (ཕཊ་, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, meaning: shatter) syllable, blend your mind with the sky, remaining in a state of blankness without any clinging. Afterward, repeatedly generate the aspiration that the five inner elements have merged indistinguishably with the five outer elements, and that your own body is insignificant. By doing so, all diseases, evil spirits, curses, defilements, and all suffering and faults will be completely eradicated. This is the extremely profound second instruction, which arose from the wisdom-secret of Manjushri Vajra. The third instruction is the dissolution of duality into its own ground: If you cannot subdue afflictions and discursive thoughts in your own mind-stream by any means, then contemplate in this way: The discursive thoughts that churn and surge within my belly are conditioned phenomena arising from causes and conditions, and therefore are impermanent. They arise from fixating on the apprehended and the apprehender. If there is no fixation, they will not arise, just like the sky. Although there are countless phenomena of existence, recognize that from among them, one clings to one's own insignificant body and mind as the enjoyer, and clings to various good and bad objects as the objects to be enjoyed, thus giving rise to various discursive thoughts. Therefore, blend the inner, the outer, the sky, and all of existence into one taste, and whatever you think, do not differentiate between the thinker and the thought. Cultivate the experience of equanimity like the sky, without thinking of anything, remain as it is, and contemplate dissolving into the primordial nature. Practice this repeatedly, do not allow discursive thoughts to arise, relax, and soon discursive thoughts will naturally vanish. Bliss and warmth will arise within, and the obstacles to shamatha and vipassana will naturally subside. This is the extremely profound third instruction, which arose from the wisdom-secret of Manjushri Vajra. If you doubt other things, dissolve the outer into yourself. If your own body is unwell, scatter your body into the outer elements. Abide in the state of the sky, where self and other are inseparable. These three ways of dissolving are the essence of Manjushri's instructions. The outer dissolving into the inner. The inner dissolving into the outer. These three profound instructions on the dissolution of duality into its own ground, on the twenty-third day of the eleventh month of the Earth Pig year, are the profound Dharma teachings that arose from the mind-ocean of Manjushri Vajra at the foot of Rdzwa rdo rje 'phan phyug Mountain. Four instructions on the single letter.
