Homage to the glorious! In the battlefield of disease, demons, and afflictions, if you wish to triumph over inner and outer enemies, you need the essential instruction of dissolving into your own nature. Thus it is said. First, the essential instruction of dissolving the external into the internal is: If you have great suspicion towards demons and obstacles, and it is of no use no matter what you do, abandon the methods of warding them off with protective circles and wrathful mantras. No matter what, there are limitless demons and obstacles in these three realms. What harm can all of them do? The one who harms and the one who is harmed are false appearances arising from one's own mind. It is by the power of clinging to duality that harm is imputed. If there is no clinging, there is no harm. If you stay near a corpse that died a bad death, you will generate suspicion, and harm will arise from that. If you put an unfamiliar corpse in a container and use it as a pillow, you will not be afraid, and there will be no harm. Therefore, everything depends on whether your own mind changes or not. In particular, the root of this lies in holding oneself as the victim and others as the perpetrator, and suspecting that you will encounter them. Recognize this deeply. Suspicion and this thought are the root of harm. The demons themselves do not cause harm. For gods and demons, which are mental constructs, what is there to flee from? If you know they will not cause harm, why would you need to flee? If you cling to them as harmful, even gods become demons. If you cling to them as beneficial, even demons become gods. There is no absolute, inherently true existence in the nature of things. If you examine them, they are equal in being empty and without foundation. It is due to the power of one's own mind's thoughts that benefit and harm arise, just like with a predator in a dream. The more suspicion and fear you have, the more the harm is caused by yourself. Decide this with reason and recognize the key point. Then, gather together the demon that you suspect, along with its actual location and direction, and not only that, but also all the realms of sentient and insentient beings that extend to the infinite reaches of the sky, and dissolve them completely into your own belly. Dissolve them into the black thigle, the size of a bean, called "dung" in the heart. Because of dissolving into it, it does not expand, but disintegrates into the nature of the finest particles and vanishes without a trace. All phenomena are inseparable from one's own mind, mixed into one taste, without any distinction between you and me. Having contemplated this, relax and calm down. Not only the demons that cause harm, but also the gods that bring benefit, the demons that cause harm, enemies, friends, neutrals, all sentient beings of the three realms, all containers and contents that exist in the realm of appearance and existence, are released as one taste with me. In that case, who will be harmed? Who will...
