When one obtains the four reliances in due time, do not let the fruit of not having tasted its flavor in one's own mind stream be absent. Thus, endowed with the four reasons and having the light of intelligence, not relying on external conditions such as following the words of others, but with the power of one's own discriminating wisdom, relying on those four reasons, the four reliances will definitely arise. If one does not possess such intelligence to judge by one's own power, it is like a blind person relying on a target. For the sake of mere fame in the world, and for the sake of merely grasping words, and for the sake of the reason that the latter two are easy to understand, instead of relying on the person and relying on the Dharma, etc., of the four reliances, it is reversed, not relying on the Dharma but turning to relying on the person. Not relying on the meaning but relying on the words, not relying on the definitive meaning but relying on the provisional meaning, not relying on the wisdom that sees the self-characteristic of the meaning but relying on the consciousness that sees the general characteristic of the meaning, therefore, one should not rely on persons, but should rely on the Dharma. The path established by correct reasoning is liberated by the one who speaks it, not by the speaker. That is, if the path established by reason is correctly and well spoken, the speaker's behavior, whether good or bad, etc., is acceptable. That is, even the Sugata himself, for the sake of taming those to be tamed, such as transforming into a butcher, etc. If it is shown to be contradictory to the meaning of the Great Vehicle, etc., then the speaker, even if the behavior, etc., that appears to be good, is not beneficial to oneself. Like a Buddha transformed by a demon, with the marks and examples and conduct complete, teaching the Dharma that contradicts the Great Vehicle, etc. When listening to and thinking about the Dharma, one should not rely on the words that express it, but rely on the meaning that is expressed. If one understands the meaning, then the path of words, no matter how the combination is spoken, whether good or bad, is not contradictory. For the sake of understanding that meaning, the agreement made by the speaker's intention, when understood in that place of knowledge by the meaning of the occasion, the outward elaborations of words, etc., if one clings to them, it is like finding a cow and still searching for its tracks in order to find the cow. If one clings to words and elaborates on words, then not only will conceptual thoughts not be exhausted, but words will increase endlessly, and thereby one will be distracted from the meaning to be known and will not understand it, so children are only the cause of their own exhaustion by words. Even for the single word "tree," if one separates the place, time, and type, it is endless.

There is not. However, even with just that, if the tree to be understood can be understood through context, then the need for verbal expression ends there. When pointing at the moon with a finger, children do not look at the moon but only at the finger. Like that, foolish people cling to mere words, do not contemplate the meaning, and think they understand the meaning of the words, but even if they only study the words, it is difficult to understand. When entering into the meaning, by knowing the distinction between the provisional and definitive meanings spoken by the Buddhas, do not rely on the provisional meaning, but rely on the definitive meaning. The All-Knowing One himself fully understands the situation of the beings to be tamed and the methods of taming, etc. In order to make the faculties and inclinations, thoughts, and minds of the beings to be tamed, such as their aptitudes and sharpness or dullness, compatible, in order to gradually enter into omniscience, therefore, the order of the vehicles is, from the Vaibhashika to the unsurpassable Vajrayana, shown like the rungs of a ladder. What is the basis for referring to the aggregates, etc.? Like the four hidden meanings and the four intentions, which are eight in total. For those who grasp the sound as it is, the valid cognition (प्रमाण,pramāṇa, ಪ್ರಮಾಣ) will cause harm. The reason for speaking that way is because there is a need. Because there is a need, the four schools of thought, starting with the Vaibhashika, and up to the ultimate Vajrayana, are spoken of. Whatever part is not understood by the lower ones is clarified by the higher ones. Like the words of the Buddha who has exhausted faults, it is possible to understand or experience more and more from above through reasoning. Having seen that, grasping the definitive meaning that is not provisional, like a swan separating milk from water, only those with excellent intelligence can frolic in the ocean of the Buddha's words. It is also possible to do so. The profound Vajrayana is also expanded without the six extremes, such as whether it is as it is or not, and the four ways, such as the meaning of words, being obvious. Since the Vajrayana is the path of oral instructions, it is combined with the oral instructions of the lineage of the guru, and it is determined by reasoning, such as the four kinds of reasoning with stainless discernment. And by proving all the phenomena of appearance and existence as deities and wisdom with objects, to realize the original purity, and by proving through the arguments of the Great Madhyamaka of equality of samsara and nirvana, these two are united. That is, what is the view gained after determining with two correct valid cognitions? That is also, if we take the illusory body of conventional truth as an example, from that
