It has been shown. Moreover, the Bodhisattva path enters and practices Paramita, which is more superior than the path of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, through excellent practices and other means. So, what does "excellent" mean? It refers to twelve aspects. What are these twelve? Vast and excellent, not craving worldly perfections, but entering into vast merits that transcend the world; long-lasting and excellent, exerting effort for countless eons; purposeful and excellent, practicing for the sake of all limitless sentient beings; inexhaustible and excellent, completely dedicating to great Bodhi, so that even the aggregates without remainder are inexhaustible; continuous and uninterruptedly excellent, with the thought of equality between self and others, making the roots of virtue continuously perfect; effortless and excellent, with skillful means such as rejoicing, making generosity and so on complete; powerful and excellent, through the Samadhi of the Treasury of Space and other means, perfecting generosity and other Paramitas as desired; completely grasping and excellent, completely grasping generosity and so on with non-discriminating wisdom. Through these eight ways, in a profound and vast manner, the way of practicing Paramita is particularly excellent. If we distinguish the practice with such a manner by stages, then the beginning is excellent, in the accumulation and preparation stages, the tolerance for emptiness greatly increases; obtaining is excellent, in the first ground, newly obtaining the path that transcends the world; similar is excellent, from the second to the ninth ground, the similar causes of the six Paramitas arise in sequence; accomplishment is excellent, in the tenth ground, the Bodhisattva reaches the ultimate; the eleventh ground, it is believed that Buddhahood is achieved in the Tathagata ground. Secondly, the Paramitas to be practiced are divided into general and detailed explanations. First, it is shown by "therefore excellent" and so on. Because it has the twelve aspects of excellence just mentioned, therefore, in the sense of excellence or supreme, it is considered that there are ten Paramitas. Because it transcends the inferior ground that is not excellent, it is called Paramita. Second, it is divided into nature and function. First, it is shown by "generosity and discipline" and so on. What are these ten Paramitas?

So, giving without attachment is generosity; morality that does not transgress proper engagement with what to accept and reject; patience that is not disturbed by anger and other adverse factors and whose continuum is completely undisturbed; diligence that rejoices in virtue and repeatedly engages in it; meditative concentration in which the mind abides single-pointedly on its object and does not waver; wisdom that thoroughly distinguishes all phenomena; skillful means that effortlessly accomplish the great benefit of oneself and others; aspiration that continuously gathers vast collections of merit; strength that does not waste roots of virtue and subdues adverse factors; and wisdom that understands the ultimate meaning as it is established in accordance with the Great Vehicle's intention. These are the ten perfections. Second, it is shown by "action is following," etc. The action of those ten perfections is that generosity satisfies sentient beings and then takes hold of them; morality does not harm others, that is, it abandons harming others from the root; patience is patient with the object of harm; diligence increases qualities; the manifestation of meditative concentration's direct perception and magical powers, etc., is able to lead others into the teachings; the teaching of wisdom's Dharma liberates others; skillful means such as dedication make the roots of virtue inexhaustible; aspiration takes hold of pure rebirth and constantly engages in generosity, etc., with that basis; strength subdues adverse factors and makes the roots of virtue definitely go towards enlightenment; and wisdom flawlessly enjoys generosity, etc., on the Great Vehicle's path and ripens other sentient beings with that method. Second, regarding attention, there are two ways of attending: briefly, the way of attending with the three wisdoms, and extensively, the way of attending with the ten practices of Dharma. The first has two parts: the main text and its function. First, it is shown by "in the Great Vehicle," etc. What should a Bodhisattva attend to? That is, how things are established in the Great Vehicle. That is, in the Great Vehicle's treatises such as the sutras and songs, the establishment of things or
