The way of explaining things like repeating words and meanings is somewhat inappropriate. The "non-learning" mentioned in the Abhidharmakosha-bhāṣya refers to the absence of effort in learning on the path, not the state of Buddhahood. The so-called "entering a state superior to Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas" means entering a state superior to Śrāvakas, Pratyekabuddhas, etc., and becoming the superior of the tenth bhūmi, which is the ninth bhūmi or below of a learning Bodhisattva. Not only is there no contradiction in understanding it this way, but the order of the nine bhūmis is also consistent, and all the meanings above and below are not confused. Because the key to understanding is very good, saying it this way is my own personal statement, and I have not seen it elsewhere. I hope that wise people will study it again. Third, regarding the fruits of the path, there are two parts: a general overview of the five fruits, and a detailed explanation from the perspective of the path. First, it is explained through "vessel transformation," etc. All the fruits of the path can be summarized into five types: the fruit of practicing virtue, obtaining a basis that transforms into a vessel of virtue in life after life, which is called the Vipāka-phala (result of maturation). The so-called transformation into a vessel of virtue refers to obtaining a good human body free from the eight unfavorable conditions, and the mind is devoted to virtue. Virtue is like a door or vessel that produces all virtues, and this is the Vipāka-phala of previous virtuous deeds. Depending on the power of transforming into a vessel, having the power to accomplish purification is the Adhipati-phala (dominant result); wanting to repeatedly do good is the Niṣyanda-phala (result in agreement with the cause); in this life, due to the power of habituation of previous virtuous deeds, unprecedented virtuous deeds grow and expand more and more, which is the Puruṣakāra-phala (result of personal effort); and the complete purification of unfavorable factors is the Visaṃyoga-phala (result of separation). Those things that have just been said like this are the fruits of the path, and they are also based on the previous ones, with the latter gradually transforming in order. Second, it is explained through "the latter," etc. Since the generation of bodhicitta, etc., depends on lineage, the former is the cause and the latter is the result. The first is the Darśanamārga (path of seeing), which is the first of the supramundane paths, and the Bhāvanāmārga (path of meditation), which habituates what has already been seen, and the Aśaikṣamārga (path of no more learning), which is the complete habituation. Thus, there are the Prayogamārga (path of application) and the supramundane path.

There are these four in total, encompassing all the fruits of the path. Among them, the latter is called the subsequent concordant fruit, because they are in accordance with the former in Dharma-nature or Suchness. For the path of seeing, it is called the fruit of the non-concordant aspect, because it is non-concordant with the afflictions to be abandoned by the path of seeing. For both familiarization and completion, it is called the fruit of detachment, because they are detached from the obscurations of their own ground. Furthermore, obtaining special qualities such as clairvoyance is called the special fruit. The bodhisattva ground is called the fruit of becoming the supreme one, because it transcends the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The Buddha ground is called the unsurpassed fruit. Therefore, the presentation of these categories of fruits is different from the categories of becoming a vessel, etc., mentioned earlier. These categories of fruits mentioned above and below summarize all the fruits of the path, and are shown from a general perspective. If the fruits of each of the three vehicles are distinguished in detail, there are immeasurable ones. This is the commentary on the chapter on cultivating antidotes in the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes. Second, explaining the uncommon Great Vehicle path, divided into: a summary and a detailed explanation. First, it is indicated by "Unsurpassedness is," etc., that the very nature of the unsurpassed vehicle is considered to be a brief explanation of the meaning through the three aspects of unsurpassed practice, unsurpassed object, and unsurpassed accomplishment. Second, it is divided into unsurpassed practice, unsurpassed object, and unsurpassed accomplishment. The first part is further divided into a summary and a detailed explanation. First, it is indicated by "Practices are," etc., that the unsurpassed practices are sixfold, that is, what is to be practiced are the six or ten perfections. What are these six practices? They are the supreme practice, the mental engagement practice, the practice of the Dharma in accordance, the practice of abandoning the two extremes, and the practice with and without distinction. Second, it is divided into five parts corresponding to the above order. First, the supreme practice has twelve supreme ways of practicing, and what is to be practiced are the ten perfections. First, by "Twelve supreme," etc.
