The individual characteristics of the dharmas collected by... are different, and there are many distinctions in this. Moreover, many dharmas are collected together in the same way, and many are piled together in two ways, which are called aggregates. Furthermore, with regard to this, from the inside, the meaning or manner of being completely separated by five distinctions should be understood as being established as the five aggregates. What are the five aggregates? They are the form aggregate, the feeling aggregate, the perception aggregate, the mental formation aggregate, and the consciousness aggregate. Among them, the five faculties and the five objects, these ten are the nature of being composed of particles. Because they are capable of being form, and because they are of similar kinds, the individual dharmas collected by direction and time are all combined in one direction and established as the number of the form aggregate. Similarly, whether in one's own or another's continuum, all mental events that belong to experiencing pleasure, pain, and equanimity are the feeling aggregate. Similarly, the perception that grasps characteristics. Represented by the mental events that act to know the object, and all formations other than the four aggregates, consciousness is the nature of the eight consciousnesses or the six consciousnesses. Second, being skilled in the elements, it is shown by the grasper and the grasped, etc. The meaning of element is cause, basis, or seed. Regarding this, there are eighteen internal distinctions. That is, the six elements from the eye faculty to the mind faculty, such as the eye element, are the meaning of the seed that grasps. Because these six faculties have the ability or merit to grasp their own objects. Because without relying on them, one cannot see, etc. Therefore, nominally, they are like that by their own nature, just like the heat of fire, and are called their elements. Just as where the function of producing sprouts exists, it is called the element of the seed. Therefore, not only are the faculties dependent, but also in the same situation, they are not without the ability to grasp objects. Just like the seed in the box, because for it, those dharmas exist inseparably. Similarly, the six from the form element to the dharma element are the meaning of the basis or seed of the object of the faculty with an object and the mind. The three aggregates of object, faculty, and consciousness arise, eye consciousness
