Just as one would not say to that person, "I am here underground." The meaning of the analogy is that within sentient beings, like a treasure containing jewels, is naturally pure. Therefore, there is actually no need to newly establish qualities or eliminate existing faults. This state of Dharma-nature naturally exists, but because it is not realized, beings constantly experience the suffering of poverty, lacking the wealth of uncontaminated qualities. For example, in a poor person's house, if there is a treasure containing jewels, one would not say to that poor person, "The owner of the jewels is here," and people would not know that the treasure exists. Similarly, the treasure of the uncontaminated Dharma-realm, although dwelling in the house of the mind, sentient beings are like poor people. In order for them to attain the Dharma-realm, the Tathagata appears in the world and teaches the Dharma. Using the example of sprouts containing fruit, explain the meaning. For example, the fruits of trees such as mangoes, palms, and banyan trees have seeds with the ability to grow trees. If they encounter the right conditions, sprouts will arise without being destroyed by obstacles, or the seeds of the sprouts will not be destroyed. Moreover, if the land is well cultivated, watered, and fertilized, then the essence of the king of trees will gradually be accomplished. The meaning is that the ignorance of sentient beings is like the skin of a fruit, which contains the realm of Dharma-dhatu, that is, uncontaminated virtue. Or the cause of the Rupakaya, that is, virtue, also depends on the virtue above the realm, and gradually transforms into the essence of the King of Sages. For example, moisture is water, ripening is sunlight, non-decay is "I," maintaining is earth. Warm seasons and openness are the conditions of the sky. Just as trees grow from the skin of palm and mango fruits. Similarly, the sprout of the seed of complete and perfect enlightenment contained in the fruit peel of sentient beings' afflictions also, from the auspicious conditions of the two accumulations that become the cause of liberation, the Dharma-dhatu is directly seen, and it grows on the path of practice, ultimately reaching perfection. Tattered clothes and the king's body are the metaphor and meaning.

Thus. For example, the body of the Victorious One made of various precious jewels, covered by ragged and filthy clothes, is located at the crossroads of the road. When the gods see it, in order to free the body from those ragged clothes. It is like saying to that person who lives on the road. The meaning is that the Buddhas, who have the eyes of wisdom that can see all dharmas without obstruction, see that the Tathagatagarbha, which is covered by various kinds of sudden afflictions such as desire, is even present in animals such as worms in feces. Just as taking the body out of ragged clothes, in order to free that realm from sudden defilements, they show the way to liberation. Combination: The Tathagata body, like the nature of a jewel, is covered by filthy ragged clothes, located at the crossroads of the road. When it is seen by the eyes of the gods, in order to free the body from obscuration, it is like pointing out to a person that this is here. Similarly, the Tathagatagarbha, which is covered by the ragged clothes of afflictions and dwells on the path of samsara, is also present in animals. After seeing it, in order to free it from obscuration, the Victorious Buddhas preach the Dharma. The lord of the womb, the combination of metaphor and meaning. For example, some women who are ugly and helpless live in helpless dwellings, such as inns, caves, crossroads, etc. Those people's wombs hold boys with the majesty of a Chakravartin king, that is, women who hold boys. Because they do not know that the one in their womb is the lord of men, they are humiliated by others and suffer. The meaning is that being born in samsara is like a helpless home caused by various sufferings, that is, impure sentient beings are like pregnant women. Because she possesses something, she has a protector who saves her from suffering, so the stainless realm is like a king dwelling in her womb. Combination: Just as a woman's body carries impure dirt, wears filthy clothes, and has an ugly appearance, but her womb holds the master of the land, the great king. Just as in a helpless house, one experiences the great pain of losing relatives and friends, so too my own mind dwells in the protector.
