Like a painter, generosity, discipline, patience, etc., as well as diligence, meditation, and wisdom, are all parts of skillful means. Thus, possessing the most excellent form of all skillful means, that is, without any incomplete skillful means, the ultimate emptiness, the Dharmakaya, is said to be the complete form. In short, just as different painters, even if one is missing, that part of the image is incomplete, so the image cannot be complete. Ultimate emptiness is the Dharmakaya, like a painting with its complete form. Even if one aspect of skillful means is missing, it cannot be accomplished, because it is accomplished from all completeness. Therefore, the two, abandonment and realization, or qualities and nirvana, or emptiness and appearance, are also inseparable. With the example of the sun, two things need to be determined. Four similarities are similar to the sun. The wisdom of knowing as it is and the wisdom of seeing as it is, and those who are liberated from what is to be abandoned. For the sake of clarity, radiance, and purity, these three are also inseparable from the nature of the one sun, so they are sequentially equal to light, rays, and the pure solar disc, and these three are inseparable. There is no nirvana other than the Buddha. Therefore, without attaining the Buddha who has purified all obscurations, one cannot attain the characterized nirvana, because the two, abandonment and realization, are simultaneously complete, and it is impossible to complete them separately. For example, just as one cannot see the sun itself separately after abandoning light and rays. Summarize the meaning and connect it. Thus, the essence of the Victorious One, from essence to qualities, is said to be ten categories. Such a realm, which now exists within the afflictions of sentient beings, must be understood through metaphors, because its nature cannot be understood. As with connection, two are shown by metaphor: impurity and essence. The connection of common similarities, and the connection of individual similarities. The connection of common similarities has three: the way sentient beings are pervaded by the Dharmadhatu, and a detailed explanation of the metaphorical meaning of this, summarized as the way of beginninglessness. The way sentient beings are pervaded by the Dharmadhatu, there is a brief indication and a combined explanation. Brief indication: The nine metaphors therein are the body of the Buddha.

Just as a lotus grows in a bad environment, honey exists among many bees, the essence of fruit is contained in the husk, gold is hidden in filth, a treasure of jewels is buried under the ground of a poor man's house, the ability to sprout and grow is contained in a small fruit, a precious statue of the Victorious One made of jewels is in ragged clothes, a wheel-turning monarch is in the womb of a wicked woman, and a precious golden image is in a lump of earth, so too, sentient beings who are suddenly obscured by the stains of afflictions, like these examples, this nature, which is naturally completely pure, abides. The combination of example and meaning. The obscuring stains are like the lotus, the bees, the husk, the filth, the pile of earth, the fruit peel, the ragged clothes, and the woman who is manifestly afflicted by the burning suffering of being helpless, and the nature of black mud. The nature to be obscured is like the Buddha, honey, the essence of fruit, gold, a mine, the banyan tree, a precious statue, the supreme wheel-turning monarch, lord of the four continents, a precious image, and the supreme nature that is primordially, naturally stainless. There are nine detailed explanations of its example and meaning. Each one also has three aspects: the combination of the example and meaning of the bad lotus and the Buddha. For example, just as in a lotus that is ugly in color and closed, there exists the body of the Thus-Gone One, blazing with thousands of marks and splendors, and a person with an immaculate divine eye sees it and, in order to show it to others, takes the body out of the petals of that lotus. The meaning is like this: the Sugata, with unobstructed Buddha eyes, even sees that beings abiding in the hells possess the Tathagatagarbha, the Dharma nature that is naturally luminous, and in order to tame those to be tamed, abides in this world in the final extreme of existence, and those who possess great compassion gradually liberate those to be tamed from obscurations. The combination of the example is like this: in a closed lotus that is ugly in color, the Sugata exists within it, is seen by the divine eye, and in order to reveal it, the obscuring petals...
