It should be known that, like relying on the wind, improper attention is like my realm. The nature of the mind realm is like the realm of space, its own nature does not depend on others, so there is no place to dwell. The reason for the sudden change of samsara. Attachment that does not conform to the nature of things, improper attention exists in a way that obscures the nature of the mind, improper attention is like the wind, like the wind as the basis of water, opening and increasing opportunities for karma and defilements, like stirring up the accumulation of water to produce land, from the water of karma and defilements arise aggregates, places, realms, contaminated, and sufferings, just as the vessel world is destroyed and formed in the realm of space, in the uncreated realm beings are born and die. The reason for the unchanging nature. The nature of the mind is like the realm of space, without a proximate cause, without a co-acting condition, without a collection gathered into one, therefore there is no initial birth, final destruction, and intermediate dwelling. Thus, summarizing the meaning of the five, the nature of the mind is the clear light Tathagatagarbha, just as the sky is not changed by clouds, etc., it will not change, from unreal discrimination, improper attention, greed, hatred, etc., the all-pervasive defilements of defilements, the all-pervasive defilements of karma, the all-pervasive defilements of birth, will not be defiled by sudden stains, because of the purity of nature. Second, these two differences. Unchanging, free from birth and death. Karma and defilements are like water, etc., this realm is not newly manifested and accomplished without being present before, nor will it be burned by the fierce fire of death, disease, and old age. Transformation is consistent with the three fires. Among them, the three fires are the three ordinary fires of the hell of the final kalpa, and the death of the transformation of life, the disease of the transformation of the realm, and the three fires of the aging of the transformation of age, combined in order, with these examples and Dharma appearances.

It should be known to be like a field. In the context of the impure and the pure, there are two kinds of unchanging: the true meaning that is not changed by birth and so on, and the recognition of the qualities of the bodhisattva. There are two teachings on the true meaning: the way of being unchanging and the way of appearing to change. The noble bodhisattvas are liberated from the birth of newly formed aggregates, the death of continuous cessation, the sickness that generates suffering, and the aging that is constantly changing. They realize the nature or suchness of this Sugata-garbha as it is. Because of that realization, this bodhisattva is free from the poverty and suffering of the birth and so on of afflictions, and is therefore unchanging. However, because of realizing the Dharmadhatu as it is, the wise bodhisattva shows birth and so on in order to generate great compassion for beings who have not realized it in this way. For the sake of others, by the power of vows and so on, they deliberately take birth in existence, and in order to reverse the clinging to permanence, they show death. Because of necessity, they show sickness and old age and so on, and because they remain in samsara, they also appear to others as impure and with change. To explain that meaning in detail, there are two aspects: there is no change due to the cause of suffering. How is it that the noble ones, having directly realized the Dharmadhatu that is not changed by birth and so on, have completely abandoned the suffering of death, sickness, and old age? In this way, if birth is due to the power of karma and afflictions, then since the noble one does not have that karma and affliction, there is no birth for that reason. It appears to change due to the power of compassion. Even so, the appearance of change is because of seeing the Dharmadhatu as it is, and although they have transcended birth and so on, they show birth, death, old age, and sickness with the nature of compassion, and they ripen sentient beings. There are five aspects to identifying the qualities of the bodhisattva: first, the quality of generating the mind of enlightenment. The son of the Buddhas, having realized this Dharmadhatu of unchanging nature, the nature of reality free from elaboration, matures beings by seeing birth and so on in the realm of those whose eyes of wisdom are blinded by the cataract of ignorance, which is a rare and wonderful thing. Similarly, from the Dharma of the non-virtuous childish, one who has attained the direct realization of the Dharma nature, the realm of transcendence, shows birth, old age, sickness, and death in the realm of children, thus ripening sentient beings.
