It should be known that seeing in this way is the accomplishment of nirvana that does not abide at the extremes of existence and peace. The sutra says: The suchness of all dharmas is the unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment. Thus it is. Second, there are two: debate and response. First, those who hold that the two truths are contradictory, if it is so in the ultimate truth, then in the conventional truth, it is also not possible to accomplish benefit through the path of meditation. This is because the mind is a phenomenon that arises and ceases in an instant, and all of its instants cannot arise simultaneously, so they must arise sequentially. If so, the conventional and ultimate minds, the first moment of arising also should not be able to attain enlightenment, it cannot be attained. The later moments that have not preceded the earlier ones also cannot attain it, because each moment separated into before and after does not have complete power, and in the later time, the former has ceased and is gone, so it is impossible to attain enlightenment. If one says so, the second is the response: Although one cannot attain it by each before and after, just as the flame of a lamp arises and ceases in an instant, but many instants continue uninterrupted, so without waiting for before and after, it can accomplish the task of exhausting the oil and completely burning the wick. Although the moments of the flame before and after cannot possibly gather together at the same time, but in the manner of a profound example of interdependent origination that relies on each other, although the minds before and after do not gather together at the same time, the later and later powers increase relying on the earlier and earlier bodhicitta, so in the suchness to be realized, the ultimate wisdom of extreme clarity arises, and the abandonment to be abandoned is reasonably eliminated. The sutra says: The first mind that arises does not go together with the later one. And so on, and the example of the lamp is actually spoken. Second, in the expression, the metaphor and the connection, divided into brief explanation and extensive explanation. First, in the manner of the example of the lamp, it should include the eight profound dharmic natures that will be spoken. Second, among them, the eight profound ones, for example, each before and after of generating bodhicitta should not generate enlightenment, etc., does not arise in the ultimate truth, and the two that arise in name with the power of the undeceptive interdependent origination are not contradictory, it is not only the object of understanding, but on one basis, the union of equally realizing without needing to abandon each other.

The special realization of entering is, regarding arising, there is: 1. Profound, just as things arise, they do not stay in the second moment of self-formation but perish, and in the ultimate sense, the non-perishing of no self-nature, the two are non-contradictory and realized as one, thus understanding the inseparability of the two truths, this is the profoundness regarding perishing. 2. These two are in terms of the way of realizing the basis. On the path of learning, wisdom is accustomed to suchness, but compassion does not manifest untimely, this is about suchness, 3. Profound, that is, in the realm of suchness, all cessation of mind and mental events, extremely accustomed to the edge of true cessation, therefore becoming of the same taste, being able to enter into samadhi in a way that is difficult to arise, even if obtained from the eighth bhumi, but because it still has subtle obscurations of knowledge, the vision of suchness is not as extremely pure as that of the Buddha, and while abiding in samadhi in suchness, one has not obtained the wisdom of seeing all knowable things. Therefore, their vision of what is as it is still has room for improvement. Therefore, the Tathagata, in the way of arising from cessation, generates special samadhi born from the power of perfected maturity and purification, thereby purifying the extremely subtle obscurations of knowledge, and becomes a Buddha. It is not said in this way from the aspect of merely abiding in one's own state of samadhi. All dharmas are free from elaboration, therefore generosity and so on cannot be accomplished, but one must know in the conventional the way to accomplish generosity and other paramitas correctly and without error, and one must know that the realization of the non-contradictory union of these two is the profoundness regarding knowledge. All dharmas are without self-nature, therefore, in the ultimate sense, there is not even a particle of what can be seen by objects such as real and unreal, this is seeing suchness, suchness is the supreme of seeing the unseen teaching, there is no other seeing besides seeing this, and the thought that seeing this contradicts not seeing is separated, the wisdom of seeing that is separated from all objects is self-illuminating, this is the profoundness regarding knowing. 5. Similarly, in the ultimate sense, there is no practice for any dharma, therefore, understanding the said supreme of non-practice, this special realization is the profoundness regarding practice. 6. All paths are not practiced.
