It must also be immeasurable. If it is argued that it is unreasonable to determine it as nine by limiting the cause with boundaries or the number, then the fruits of merit, such as immeasurable, countless, inestimable, and infinite, shown in each meditation path, arise from one cause that is truly established in the ultimate sense. Since the truly established fruit is countless, it is not possible to distinguish it by the quantity of more or less. Because neither cause nor effect is established in the ultimate sense, there is no more or less. The sutra says: For these dharmata, it is not possible to distinguish them by meaning and letters. If cause and effect are truly established, then it can be understood that an infinite fruit cannot arise from a limited cause, but here we do not think so. What is it then? Merely in conventional terms, each meditation path produces infinite fruits of merit, because the similar cause of compassion has been shown in the sutra, so it must be determined that this is what the Buddha approves of. Because the Buddha has seen the truth of the matter, he shows it in this way, not with intention. The sutra says: This unspeakable dharma is the teaching of the similar cause of the great compassion of the Tathagata. That is to say, merely from one cause arise many fruits, just as one seed repeatedly grows into many fruits. In the conventional sense, by directing towards limitless sentient beings, for their benefit, vowing to obtain the Buddha fruit with infinite qualities, and being completely grasped by the skillful means of non-attachment, and the meditation that enters in the manner of the two truths being of equal taste with the nature of the dharmadhatu, even the merit of a single moment is established by reason as immeasurable. Second, for the elimination of debate on action, it is impossible to have decline and progress in the ultimate sense, therefore the debate eliminates the impossibility of cutting off and realizing the meditation path. And, in the conventional sense, the debate eliminates the impossibility of obtaining omniscience in an instant through observation. Divided into two parts, the first part, debate and answer in two parts, the first part is: The sutra says: If the unspeakable dharma has no progress and decline, then generosity etc. will also become without progress and decline. Therefore, if all phenomena are the unspeakable emptiness, then for emptiness, it is impossible for the unfavorable aspects to decrease and the favorable aspects to increase.

Okay. If that's the case, then through the path called meditation, what will be diminished, like the nine things to be abandoned? And what will be obtained, like the small fruit of wisdom, etc.? Is it thought that abandonment and attainment are impossible? The second answer is: The Bodhi that knows cessation and non-arising is distinguished only by the cessation of obscurations and their non-arising again, although there is no entity. However, having obtained that fruit, one is able to fulfill the desire for liberation by permanently escaping from the suffering of samsara. Similarly, this path of meditation also accomplishes the wishes of oneself and others through abandoning what should be abandoned and attaining realization. Because Bodhi is also like that, having the characteristic of emptiness, and the path of meditation is also considered to have the same characteristic of emptiness. Therefore, arguing with those who assert reality is meaningless, this is the answer. Regarding this, the nature of the unsurpassed Bodhi, the uncontaminated wisdom, although there is no increase or decrease in ultimate truth, it benefits sentient beings in conventional truth, it seems that adding "just like that" is also possible. However, the example of unsurpassed Bodhi not increasing or decreasing in ultimate truth is not established for those who assert reality, so it seems uncomfortable. Therefore, Nagarjuna said: Cessation and non-arising, in meaning are one, therefore please be patient. As it is said. For the realists who do not understand the establishment of cause and effect, abandonment and attainment before emptiness, taking as an example the Bodhi that they themselves consider to have the nature of separate analysis and negation in the end, whether it is empty due to the exhaustion of what previously existed, or empty by nature, in short, in the meaning of emptiness they are the same, so please do not be afraid of the abandonment of the Mahayana, please be patient. I think this is the same as what (Nagarjuna) said. Like this, the appearance of samsara itself is not because it is established in reality, but because of one's own conceptualization. Turning back after abandoning samsara is also just conceptualization. Therefore, the wisdom that focuses on the equality of suchness, which is free from gain and loss, acceptance and rejection, gradually abandons conceptualization and the two obscurations arising from it, and gradually obtains the wisdom of realization, although not from the perspective of the nature of suchness, but from the way one's own conceptualization is exhausted, it appears that way. Therefore, what is the meaning of the equality of the nature of reality
