Therefore, the wisdom of understanding the Dharma is not the antidote to the higher realms, because the wrong views based on the truth are different. For example, mistaking a pillar for a person cannot be eliminated by recognizing a rope. Then, does the (wisdom) gathered by the post-meditation wisdom of cessation and the path and the path of cultivation also become the antidote to the desire realm? Not all (wisdom) gathered by the post-meditation wisdom of cessation and the path of cultivation is the antidote to the desire realm, because the wisdom of understanding the Dharma has already cut off the (afflictions) that should be cut off in the desire realm, and before the (afflictions) that should be cut off in the lower realm are not cut off, the antidote to the upper realm will not arise. Ga Sang Pandita said: "The wisdom of understanding the Dharma has destroyed all the accompanying factors of the desire realm that are based on the object, so it is not (the antidote to the upper realm)." This statement is incorrect, because if this is the case, then the wisdom of understanding suffering and origin will also become the antidote to the upper realm, because it has destroyed all the accompanying factors of the desire realm that are based on the object. Therefore, this view should be abandoned. Second, regarding aspects, there are three types: the view on the number of real and uncontaminated aspects, and the analysis of the nature of aspects. First, among these ten types of wisdom, the wisdom of understanding the Dharma and the subsequent wisdom are aspects. Second, regarding aspects, there are two views: the view that there are only sixteen types of aspects, and the view that there are more than sixteen types of aspects. The first view is that there are sixteen types of aspects such as impermanence. The (aspects) that exist in the path of application in mundane wisdom are the same as the previous two, and there are sixteen types. But the (aspects) that exist in other situations are also other aspects, for example, when practicing the contemplation of impurity, the contemplation of breathing in and out, and the contemplation of loving-kindness, one will grasp the self-characteristic and the common characteristic. Not only that, but there are also aspects that grasp bottles, cloths, and drinking porridge, eating food, etc., which are different from the self-characteristic and the common characteristic. The commentators explain it this way. Does the self-characteristic here refer to the bulging of the belly, the weaving of cotton thread into cloth, etc., or does it only refer to holding bottles and cloths? It needs to be considered. The wisdom of understanding the four truths has four types because it enters the aspects of each truth. The stainless other-mind wisdom is also the path wisdom, therefore, the path wisdom also has the four aspects of the truth of the path. The contaminated other-mind wisdom has the aspects of the self-characteristic of the knowable, mind, and mental factors, because it takes these as objects. Whether it is contaminated or uncontaminated, when holding the mind, it does not hold the mental factors, when holding the mental factors, it does not hold the mind, when holding the feeling, it does not hold the thought, etc. Each entity of the mind and mental factors is its own object. Then, in many places

Furthermore, as stated in the sutra: "A mind with desire, one knows as it truly is, a mind with desire; a mind without desire, one knows as it truly is, a mind without desire." And so forth, likewise with hatred and ignorance, whether present or absent; as well as the mind being collected or scattered; afflictions associated with laziness, virtuous qualities associated with diligence; minor afflictions, vast virtuous qualities; afflictions associated with restlessness, and the virtuous qualities that counteract it; the unpacified and the pacified are also similar. A mind not in samadhi, afflictions associated with distraction; and a mind not in samadhi, uncultivated and cultivated; the undelivered associated with afflictions, and the delivered mind are combined and spoken of, is there a contradiction? The Vaibhashika says: "Having desire and being without desire are not associated with desire, but rather possessing the attainment of desire, or the object of increasing desire, only by the name of having is it grasped, like when thinking of clothes, one does not grasp the dirt, and when grasping the dirt, one does not grasp the clothes." Some say it must be associated. Regarding collection and scattering, the Vaibhashika says that due to the difference between not being associated with scattering and being associated, the mind is collected on the object, therefore it is either virtuous or afflicted. Westerners say that these two are respectively the affliction of sleep, and associated with afflictions other than sleep, therefore both are afflictions. Alternatively, explaining that eight are virtuous and eight are afflicted, this explanation is good. Moreover, with knowledge of others' minds, one knows that this mind has desire, but one does not know what form it has desire for. If one knows, then one must focus on form, thus it would not be knowledge of others' minds. All knowledge of others' minds is associated with the contaminated and uncontaminated, and grasps its own characteristic, the time is the present, included in the continuum of others, the ground is included in the actual practice of samadhi, relying on form, it is the object to be attained, therefore it is included in the lower two realms, the path is the application of the path of cultivation, as well as the path of liberation, and.
