I, since the objects or focuses of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena are different, establish the knowledge of cessation and path. And from the application, I establish the knowledge of others' minds, although it can also know mental factors, but it should know the mind. Because there is no saying of "should know the mental factors of application," and from the actions that have been done, I establish the knowledge of exhaustion, because it first arises in the continuum of actions that have been done. And because the undefiled knowledge is the result of the increase of the equal cause of all previously born, I establish the knowledge of non-arising. Therefore, although it is said that ten knowledges are established by seven causes, it is from the manner of knowing the nature, antidote, and object. Second, regarding the term "antidote," there are definite and indefinite distinctions. Saying that "Dharma-knowledge is the antidote to the desire realm" is also because it is the antidote to all five categories of what is to be abandoned in the desire realm, and the antidote Dharma-knowledge is explained as being all that is included in seeing and meditation, focusing on the four truths. Moreover, Dharma-knowledge can also act as an antidote to the two upper realms. Which ones? Whatever Dharma-knowledge of cessation in the path of meditation, or Dharma-knowledge of the path, those are the antidotes to the three realms. Because the noble one who relies on the desire realm, gradually abandoning the nine to-be-abandoned-by-meditation of the desire realm with Dharma-knowledge, can also generate the previously familiar path to abandon the to-be-abandoned-by-meditation of the upper realms. Or, the focus of the Dharma-knowledge of cessation and path is undefiled, so apart from the three realms, it does not focus on inferior objects, so the Dharma-knowledge that focuses on it may be the antidote to the three realms. If so, then would the Dharma-knowledge of suffering and origin also have this fault? Because its focus is defiled, and it is necessary to refute it by mental application, it is said that the inferior cannot refute the superior. Some say that abandoning what is to be abandoned, either directly harming it, or regarding what is contrary to it as a virtue, is abandoned by this power, so the Dharma-knowledge of suffering and origin is not like that, because it does not directly focus on what is to be abandoned in the upper realms, and it is not regarding what is contrary as a virtue, because it focuses on the truth of the lower realm and causes the mind to be disgusted. The Dharma-knowledge that focuses on cessation and path is, because it regards what is contrary to what is to be abandoned in the upper realms as a virtue, so it is abandoned by this power, so it is explained. Seeing path, cessation path.
