Therefore, it is not the case that there is only view. Even if we say that wisdom is explained separately, isn't it ten kinds of wisdom? Saying that "patience is not wisdom," does that seem reasonable? Please consider. Second, it is divided into two parts: explaining the three fundamental differences, and then elaborating on the remaining seven. The first part has two aspects: the differences and their objects. First, the sutra says, "Wisdom is tenfold, namely, Dharma-wisdom and subsequent-wisdom, conventional wisdom and other-minds-wisdom, suffering-wisdom and origin-wisdom, cessation-wisdom and path-wisdom, exhaustion-wisdom and non-arising-wisdom." These ten that are mentioned, in general, all wisdom is included in the two: contaminated wisdom and uncontaminated wisdom. Among them, the first, contaminated, is what is called conventional wisdom, sometimes the nature of self-general characteristics, and mostly focuses on objects that exist conventionally, such as vases, wool, men, women, etc. Uncontaminated is of two kinds, what are they? Namely, Dharma-wisdom and subsequent-wisdom are the only two, because suffering-wisdom, etc., are included in these two. Second, among them, the object of conventional wisdom is all conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. That is also because it says, "Meditative virtues have nine objects," and because eye-consciousness knows form, etc., applying to everything in various ways. The object of activity of what is called Dharma-wisdom is the suffering of the desire realm, and the origin, cessation, and path included in it. The object of activity of subsequent-wisdom is the suffering, origin, etc., of the above two. Space and non-reality are not included in the four truths, so they are not their objects. Thus, there are three kinds of wisdom. Second, explaining the remaining seven, divided into general and specific. The first part has three: explaining the wisdom of the four truths, explaining non-arising wisdom and exhaustion wisdom, and explaining other-minds wisdom. First, Dharma-wisdom and subsequent-wisdom are the same as suffering-wisdom, etc., because of the difference in focusing on the four truths. Four, that is, four kinds. The second part has the actual and first separately explaining birth two kinds. First, the four kinds of suffering-wisdom, etc., which are not of the nature of view, become the two kinds of non-arising wisdom and exhaustion wisdom, after the Vajra Splinter.

To know what are the four truths that arise. Second, to know that the first arising of those two "exhaustion and non-arising knowledge" is to subsequently understand suffering and its origin. This is because all suffering contained in the aggregates of the peak of existence is aimed at impermanence, etc., and at causes, etc. After the first arising, the remaining two also aim at other truths. The Vajra Samadhi aims at the four truths of the peak of existence, while the first arising of "exhaustion and non-arising knowledge" aims at all suffering. This is the view of the Vaibhashika school, which is to speculate on differences where there are no differences. Are the objects of the Vajra Samadhi and those two (knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising) the same or different? If the Vajra Samadhi, having become the nature of the smallness of the abandonment of cultivation at the peak of existence, aims at the first two truths, then it is the same. However, if it aims at cessation and the path, as in "obstructing the path of cultivation," etc., then it is not the same. Those two knowledges necessarily aim only at the aggregates of the peak of existence. Just as when one is struck by a poisoned arrow and dies, the poison first spreads to all the limbs, and finally, immediately after death, gathers only at the site of the wound. Third, two investigations regarding the substance of the knowledge of others' minds and whether its object will change. First, among the four knowledges of Dharma knowledge, subsequent knowledge, path knowledge, and conventional knowledge, the knowledge of others' minds is established. Because the conventional knowledge aims at the minds of others with outflows, the path knowledge aims at the minds without outflows, and due to the difference in antidotes, it may also be Dharma knowledge and subsequent knowledge. Second, it is divided into three types: general, specific, and incidental. First, mind knowledge, for example, the mind knowledge of the lower minds such as the first dhyana does not understand the minds of the upper second dhyana, etc., which have transcended the ground, the dull-witted do not understand the minds of the sharp-witted, the path of faith does not understand the path of seeing, and the time-liberated do not understand the path of the non-time-liberated, and so on. Examples of those who have transcended the person, such as the non-returner, do not understand the path of the Arhat, etc., and practitioners of the Hearer's path do not understand the minds of the Solitary Buddha's path. The noble ones with attachment are not mentioned because mind knowledge is blocked for those people. Those are by their own power. If blessed by the Buddha, one can also understand those who have transcended the person and faculties. That mind knowledge is the object of the present time, which is the only object of the mind.
