The so-called "inexhaustible son's power" is also a name for power. For example, when a number reaches sixty digits, it is called "innumerable." Former teachers used to say that each and every word possesses the power of the inexhaustible son. Second, what is the measure of that power? Ordinary elephants, and others included, such as incense elephants, great strength, extreme subjugation, supreme limb, supreme power, and inexhaustible sons, these seven, the former multiplied and transformed by ten times each, are the powers of the latter. Some say that ten times the power of supreme power is half the power of the inexhaustible son, and doubling it is the power of the inexhaustible son. To illustrate, just as the power of wisdom is infinite, so is the power of the body infinite; otherwise, the body could not bear the power of wisdom. Third, the nature of such bodily power is merely a distinction of the great elements, it is the source of tactile sensation, but not a transformation. Some say that that power is not a great element, but an eighth tactile sensation produced by something other than the seven tactile sensations of the result, such as softness, as a cause, which they consider to be hardness. Second, fearlessness is of four types, as stated in the sutras. That is, first, personally vowing to be omniscient, because it is the object of all knowable things. Just as in power, the initial power of knowing what is and is not the case is ten kinds of wisdom, and is included in all grounds, so is this first fearlessness. Personally vowing to have exhausted all defilements is to know that all obscurations have been abandoned, just as the tenth power, the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements, is six or ten kinds of wisdom, and is included in eleven grounds. Showing the Dharma of obstruction, that is, knowing that afflictions and other demons are obstacles to the path, just as the second power, knowing the ripening of karma, is eight kinds of wisdom other than cessation and the path, and is included in all grounds, it is obstructed only by what is included in the first two truths. Showing the path as definitely leading to liberation, that is, knowing the path of the Hearers and others, just as the seventh power knows the path, nine or ten kinds of wisdom, and is included in all grounds.

It is the same as that. The Vaibhashikas consider knowledge itself to be fearless, while the masters consider knowledge to be the fruit, thus attributing the name of the fruit to the cause. Third, the three kinds of mindfulness are: attachment due to delighting in listening to the Dharma, etc., hatred towards the opposite, and mindfulness without both, as well as the nature of mindfulness or wisdom. It can be divided into three types according to the difference of the object. The aspect of wisdom is conventional knowledge. Although the Shravakas have detachment from desire, the Buddha has abandoned the predispositions. Fourth, there are two parts: the actual and the implied meaning. The first part is: the nature of great compassion. The reason for calling it "great". The difference between it and great loving-kindness, there are three points. The first point is: great compassion is the wisdom of conventional knowledge because it observes all sentient beings in the form of three sufferings, such as observing who is flourishing, who is declining, and whose time to be tamed has come, six times day and night. The second point is: it is accomplished by the great accumulation of merit and wisdom, has the form of contemplating the three sufferings, its object is all sentient beings of the three realms, and it enters into equality because it remembers that all sentient beings have the suffering of conditioning, and because it is the nature of wisdom, it is very sharp and unlike anything else, and it is extremely great, therefore it is called "great". It is also the nature of non-ignorance. The third point is: then what is the difference between loving-kindness and it? There are eight different ways of distinguishing: nature, object, form, place, continuum, attainment, similarity, and protection. Among them, loving-kindness is the nature of non-anger, has the form of the suffering of suffering, only focuses on sentient beings in the desire realm, and although it also has helplessness and particularity, these two are included in the first dhyana. The first dhyana and so on, the four dhyanas, and the continuums of Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and ordinary beings also exist. It is attained by removing desire in the desire realm. Shravakas and others are only loving-kindness, and cannot completely protect from the suffering of samsara. Because loving-kindness is only directed towards sentient beings who have the suffering of suffering, it is loving-kindness that is different or unequal to all sentient beings. Great compassion is the nature of non-ignorance, suffering
