There are two types of objects focused on the uncontaminated ground. Among them, those that focus on the uncontaminated and the unequal higher ground only increase through association, just like a sprout in a moist field. Whatever gives rise to self-view and craving, nothing else increases. It is said that desiring the higher ground is aspiring to virtue. Second, whatever subtle increases, whatever minds and mental factors are associated with multiple grounds, etc., those are friends there. Until those are abandoned, they increase through association, just as wine mixed with poison increases the power of the poison. Therefore, among the eighty-eight subtle increases, the twelve that focus on the uncontaminated only increase through association, and the six ignorances to be abandoned by seeing the cessation and path, and the eighteen pervasive ones of the two lower realms, these twenty-four are, depending on whether the object is contaminated or uncontaminated, and one's own ground or higher ground, both object-association increases are possible. The remaining sixty-two are definitely both increases. Being increased by the object is pervaded by being increased by association, so there is no case of only being increased by the object. In general, if the wrong view and doubt that focus on the path directly take it as an object, no one would think that those two alone are liberation. If one thinks that there is something purer than this path, that is also contaminated, so it will become something to be abandoned by seeing the truth of suffering, or it is hypocrisy. Furthermore, the wrong view and doubt that focus on cessation must also have the case of focusing on cessation as liberation, and if so, it contradicts that those two have hypocrisy, although the teacher said so, but the self-opinion is clear in the Yoga practice. Third, the difference between obscured and unspecified and non-virtuous in nature. The causes of those two. By the way, explaining other things called unspecified, there are three points. First, all the afflictions that exist in the upper realms are obscured and unspecified, although they are afflictions, the continuum is controlled by meditative stabilization, so the afflictions cannot produce undesirable results, and they are not non-virtuous, because there is no intention to harm there, etc. As long as it is an affliction, it is impossible to be unobscured and virtuous. Therefore, what is obscured is neither virtuous nor non-virtuous, it is unspecified. In the desire realm, the view of the aggregates of destruction and the view of clinging to extremes, and the ignorance that is together with those two, these three are obscured and unspecified. How so?

If asked in this way, the two, eternalism and nihilism, do not contradict the practice of generosity and other virtues, and nihilism is also in accordance with liberation, because they believe in no-self. Furthermore, some say that these two views are not non-virtuous because they are only ignorant of the substance of their own nature and do not harm others. However, some argue that if this is the case, then attachment to the desire for higher realms and the pride of thinking "I" would also become neutral, because the reasons are the same. Therefore, the innate existence of these two in deer and birds, etc., is an unlabelled obscuration, like being frightened by suddenly hearing a sound. The imputed conceptions of the Samkhyas, etc., are considered non-virtuous. Therefore, attachment and pride also become innate unlabelled obscurations and imputed non-virtues. If there are imputed non-virtues to be abandoned on the path of seeing in the higher realms, or if there are not, then if there are not, it follows that there are no abandonments on the path of seeing, and this must be abandoned. If these are explained from a general perspective, I think there would be no contradiction. The first two views, except for those that are associated with them, the remaining subtle details are non-virtuous in this desire realm. Therefore, in the Determination, it says: "Many and afflicted, behavior and suffering itself, impermissible mute fruit, samadhi and birth." Thus, it explains eight or ten differences between the afflictions of the desire realm and the higher realms. Secondly, in terms of causes, there are two types of causes: non-virtuous causes and neutral causes. Firstly, in the desire realm, all the attachment and anger of the five categories to be abandoned, except for the ignorance associated with the two roots and the two views of annihilation and eternity, all the ignorance is the root of non-virtue, because all non-virtue arises from these three. The second has two systems, the first of which is that there are three that are both neutral and the root from which it arises. What are the three? That is, in the two upper realms, savoring the taste of samadhi and all the desire for the upper realms, such as craving for immeasurable palaces, and ignorance, all the obscurations of the three realms, or associated with the first two views of the desire realm, and intelligence, although its nature is not afflicted, in the desire realm, it is associated with the four minds such as the result of maturation, and the first two views, and the afflictions and associations of the upper realms, and the result of maturation, etc.
