Even the future is impermanent, so what need is there to mention what is happening now? The noble hearers who possess learning observe in this way: they do not look at past forms, etc., because past forms exist, therefore the noble hearers who possess learning do not look at past forms. And so on, because it is said that both the past and the future exist, therefore it is said that the three times exist in all ways. Moreover, in the sutra it is said: the consciousness from the eye to the mind is born relying on the two conditions of the eye and form, and between the mind and dharma. Here, the mind-consciousness relies on the two, mind and dharma, which is the knower here. If the past mind does not exist in substance, then it is contradictory for oneself to rely on oneself. The reasoning is: if there is no object, there is no focus, therefore there is no consciousness that knows it. The objective condition or object of the consciousness that focuses on the past and future exists. Karma has ceased, but the result, the fully ripened fruit, exists. If they do not exist in substance, then when there is karma, there is no fully ripened fruit, and when there is a fully ripened fruit, there is no karma, therefore the result of karma is unreasonable. Therefore, the past and future exist in substance. Therefore, since they say that all three times exist, they are considered to be the Sarvastivadins. If they say that the past of karma that has not produced a result exists in the present, and the past that has already produced a result does not exist in the future, then that is speaking separately. Those who say that only what is happening now exists are the Sautrantikas, which is what [they] want to promote. Secondly, if the Sarvastivadins are classified, there are four types. Although they all agree that the three times exist in substance without difference, what transforms objects is the Venerable Dharmatrāta, who differs according to the differences in knowing, speaking, and entering. When one object transfers and enters into all times, although the intrinsic nature of the substance of form, etc., does not change, the objects transform. When the future becomes the present, the future object is abandoned and the present object is obtained. When the present becomes the past, the present object is abandoned and the past object is obtained. Therefore, the name of the object of that time is obtained. If a gold vessel is melted and transformed into another vessel, although the nature and color of the gold do not change, the

It is said that just as only the shape changes, and when milk becomes yogurt, only the qualities such as taste and function are abandoned, but the color of the substance is not abandoned. The Venerable Yangdrong says that the transformation of characteristics is named in reliance on obtaining the entry of characteristics. Because one object possesses the characteristics of past, present, and future, it is established in three times from the perspective of different characteristics. In this regard, there is absolutely no characteristic of other times, and it is not a different substance. For example, when there is desire for a woman with desire, she is called having desire, just as there is no desire for others. The Venerable Yigshe says that the transformation of state is named in reliance on different states. When one object enters all times, those dharmas do not act, act, and stop after acting, which are called future, present, and past. When the object reaches that time, it obtains that name. Only the name changes at that time, but the substance of its own characteristic does not become other. For example, one pill is one when placed in the eye of one abacus bead, and it obtains that name when placed in the eye of one hundred and one thousand abacus beads. The Venerable Sangye Lha says that other and other transformations are named in reliance on before and after. When one object enters all times, it is established as the future in reliance on the past and present, the past in reliance on the present and future, and the present in reliance on the past and future, just as one woman is a mother in reliance on her daughter, and becomes a daughter in reliance on her mother. Third, in this regard, the transformation of objects, the substance exists while the dharma is abandoned and accepted, which is included in the Samkhya school. The transformation of characteristics is because each time has the characteristics of all three, so it will become a confusion of time, and it will become the fault of the example and meaning not matching. Other and other transformations, the past also has the three of before, after, and middle, so those in turn need to become three times, so the past also has the fault of having three times simultaneously. The third state transformation is good, because the three of acting, not acting, and having acted distinguish the differences of the three times, so it will not become one time. Therefore, that is slightly better, but ultimately it is the same, unreasonable. If everything exists in the present, then the three times
