Regarding the matter of Prince Hair-Crowned One killing his father Uttara-yana Arhat, the father sent a message saying: "Go, you have committed two deeds of immediate retribution, namely killing your father and killing an Arhat." What does this mean? Does it mean that one commits a deed of immediate retribution through the cause of two deeds of immediate retribution? Or is it that one is reproached from two gateways, but in reality, there is only one deed of immediate retribution? This also needs to be examined. If one does not intend to kill the Buddha but intends to strike him, striking with a weapon is not a deed of immediate retribution, because there is no intention to take life. Similarly, if one is not an Arhat at the time of being struck with a weapon, but later attains Arhatship and dies, this is also not a deed of immediate retribution, because he did not engage in the combination of that deed. Third, what is the reality of a deed of immediate retribution? If one engages in the combination of a deed, can one attain the fruit without abandoning that deed? In this regard, it is impossible to attain the latter two fruits of the path of a renunciate free from desire. For engaging in the combination of other karmic paths that are not deeds of immediate retribution, the noble path will arise. Once the noble path has arisen, the karmic path of that combination will not arise again. For example, even if a hunter lives by hunting, the Buddha said that he would place him in the stream-enterer fruit. Therefore, deeds other than deeds of immediate retribution do not become obstacles to freedom from desire and the attainment of fruit. That is what is said. According to the Mahayana view, even if one commits a deed of immediate retribution, one can still attain the fruit, as in the case of Ajatashatru attaining Arhatship. Fourth, which fruit is heavier? Because of lying to divide the Sangha into two factions, this is considered an extremely serious fault. Because it touches the Dharmakaya, and because the division cannot be restored, it becomes an obstacle to attaining the heavenly realms, fruits, freedom from desire, and the exhaustion of defilements. Activities such as meditation, reading, recitation, and contemplation also cannot be engaged in. Therefore, in order to cut off the connection between the heavenly realms and liberation, it disturbs the world, including the gods, causing displeasure, and one involuntarily loses one's memory. The ripening result is that one is born in the Avici hell for one intermediate kalpa. After that, drawing blood, killing an Arhat, and killing one's parents are progressively heavier. If the sutras say that among the three types of misdeeds, the three mental misdeeds are heavier, and among them, wrong view is heavier, is this contradictory? In this regard, if one distinguishes, it is from the perspective of the ripening result, because mental activity is the cause of misdeeds, and in order to cut off the roots of virtue, wrong view is heavier. Or, division, mental activity, and wrong view are in sequence.

Some say that this is not contradictory to the uninterrupted karma and the karma of the three doors, which are said to be heavy among the five views. For the virtues of worldly people, the mind of the peak of existence has a very great fruit, because it can pacify all the sufferings in eighty thousand great kalpas, and there is nothing more supreme than that. Second, regarding the meaning of the digression, there are the explanations of the five near ones, and the identification of the definite position of the Bodhisattva explained during that time. First, there are two explanations of the three karmas of reality, accompaniment, and obstruction, including the ripening. First, the one who is both a mother and an Arhat mother is refuted by adultery; killing a Bodhisattva who is in a definite position; killing any of the seven noble learners; robbing the support or gate of the Sangha's assembly are similar in fault to the uninterrupted karmas of killing a mother, father, and Arhat, and causing division in the Sangha, because these also cause birth in hell. The fifth or last one close to drawing blood is the destruction of stupas, images, scriptures, and stupas, etc., caused by hatred and so on. Robbing the gate of assembly is said to be robbing the normal assembly of monks. The king's son and the one who is raised are said to be robbing those who provide food for the Sangha. It is said in the Remembrance Sutra that even taking a small thing from the Three Jewels will become a great sin, and if similar things are returned to them, the Buddha and Dharma will be purified, but the Sangha's will not be purified until the feeling is not experienced, because the field is heavy. If it is a gate for the Sangha to gather, then one will fall into the great hell, and if it is not a place of assembly, Then one will be born in the vicinity of Avici Hell, and in great darkness, etc. Therefore, similarity and proximity are different. Some say that doing these will ripen in hell, but not necessarily in Avici Hell. Some say that even if one is born in Avici Hell, there is a difference in time and the size of ripening, so it is different from uninterrupted karma. Second, in addition, the three karmas of obstruction, including ripening, are explained, just as debts increase when leaving home, and when forbearance is obtained, one will fall into the lower realms, and for the non-returner, in addition to experiencing the present Dharma, there is also the karma that must be experienced in the desire realm, and the Arhat.
