Earthly poetry is the कार्य (kārya, action, deed) of speech, and grasping the sum of numbers like ten and hundred is the कार्य (kārya, action, deed) of mind; these should be understood in order. Furthermore, what is called "by reason" is the ritual for its accomplishment. The कार्य (kārya, action, deed) that is seized by it, bound by it, or made to act by it is that in writing and other things, there is something that is driven by its own methods and reason, which is different from the ordinary, and it seems to be this meaning. Counting and poetry are both कार्य (kārya, action, deed) of speech, and it seems that they should be examined separately as to whether they are one or not. Secondly, the categories of virtue and so on, which are incidental to कार्य (kārya, action, deed), are: that which is covered by afflictions is obscured; that which is accompanied by afflictions is dark; that which is abandoned by the noble ones is evil; that which dwells together with afflictions is tainted; these are the names of the categories of afflicted dharmas with outflows. The stainless, that is, the virtuous without outflows, is called magnificent because it has reached the ultimate purity. The virtuous, with outflows and without outflows, of conditioned dharmas should be relied upon in the lineage with respect. Others, unconditioned, non-virtuous, and obscured and unspecified, should not be relied upon in the lineage. Non-virtuous and obscured and unspecified, and conditioned unobscured and unspecified, and virtuous with outflows, and conditioned without outflows, and unconditioned unobscured and unspecified space non-analytical cessation, and liberation individual analytical cessation, these are more superior than the former, because in order they are maturation undesirable and non-existent, and non-afflicted, and maturation desirable, and without outflows, and because they are permanent, and permanent and virtuous. Therefore, all other dharmas are more superior, and liberation nirvana analytical cessation is beyond them, because there is no other more superior and excellent, so it is unsurpassed. As it is said in the sutra: Monks, whatever is conditioned or unconditioned, among them, the most excellent is said to be freedom from desire. Thus it is said. Secondly, the name of the chapter is: From the Abhidharmakośakārikā, it is called "Karma Chapter," which is the commentary on the fourth chapter. Explanation of the Karma Chapter.
