Why is that? Because killing causes suffering to others, and because it separates and kills their life, and after killing, it makes them lose their glory, therefore, experiencing the suffering of evil destinies in sequence, three kinds of results will occur. By implication, similar acts such as taking what is not given are also applicable. The results of virtuous actions with outflows should be applied in reverse. The second part is incidental, including: the explanation of wrong livelihood, the manner in which actions are accompanied by various results, the difference produced by similar and dissimilar types, and the difference between projection and completion, totaling four points. The first point, again, the sutra says: wrong speech, wrong action, and wrong livelihood are the three. Speech that arises from hatred and ignorance is wrong speech. Physical actions that arise from these two are wrong actions. What arises from attachment to physical and verbal actions is wrong livelihood. Why are these two grouped together and wrong livelihood taught? Because it is difficult to subdue with antidotes, it is taught separately from what arises from hatred and ignorance. If it is said that only the physical and verbal actions aroused by attachment to the necessities of life are wrong livelihood, and that actions that are not aroused by attachment to necessities, such as singing and dancing to please others, are not wrong livelihood, then this contradicts the fundamental scriptures of discipline, because it says that monks and others, after enjoying what is given by devotees, are prohibited from engaging in watching various performances such as elephant fights and wars. Similarly, including the sounds of elephants and so on, because attachment to forms and sounds, watching and listening and other actions belong to using evil objects, therefore it is called wrong livelihood. Therefore, the teacher said: Always watching various sights, it is difficult for householders to subdue watching, monks who depend on others for their livelihood, it is the livelihood itself. Thus, it is said to be difficult to subdue. The second point includes the path of abandoning defilements or outflows, that is, the actions of the worldly meditative path of the immediate path, etc., are accompanied by five kinds of results such as maturation. The result of maturation here is the desirable maturation belonging to one's own realm, the result of similarity is all conditioned phenomena other than oneself, and the result of equal cause is the similar future lives born from meditative concentration. The result of the agent is the path of liberation and attainment and abandonment, etc., either immediately or what.

And those that arise in the present, because there are the abandonment of afflictions of the lower realms and five fruits of abandonment. The stainless path of abandonment is accompanied by four fruits other than the fruit of maturation. Whatever wholesome and unwholesome is other than the path of abandonment with outflows is also four, because it is without the fruit of abandonment. The remainder of the path of abandonment without outflows, the path of application and liberation, or the path of distinction, and whatever is neither obscured nor unobscured, those are with three fruits other than abandonment and maturation. Goodness of goodness and so on, if it is a pure fruit of goodness, then there are four fruits, because maturation is impossible, and the path of abandonment and the fruit of abandonment are ultimately good, and so on, the fruit of goodness is unwholesome, the agent and the owner are two, because the three causes of maturation and abandonment are impossible. When good produces the unspecified, similarly there are three, because abandonment and the corresponding cause are impossible, and maturation is the ripening fruit of goodness. The fruit of unwholesomeness, in goodness and so on, if unwholesomeness produces goodness, the three causes of maturation, cause, and abandonment are impossible, so there are two, the agent and the owner, and so on, if unwholesomeness produces unwholesomeness, the two of maturation and abandonment are impossible, so there are three, the agent, the owner, and the cause, if unwholesomeness produces the unspecified, other than the fruit of abandonment, there are four, the agent, the owner, the cause, and maturation, its corresponding cause is, because it is similar to affliction, so the all-pervasive unwholesome suffering seen to be abandoned obscures the unspecified destructible aggregates and so on are produced. Combine them in that order. If the fruit of the unspecified itself produces goodness and so on, the three causes of maturation, abandonment, and cause are impossible, so there are those two, the agent and the owner, and so on, the fruit of the unspecified is unwholesome, other than abandonment and maturation, there are three, the agent, the owner, and the cause. The corresponding cause here is that the obscuring unspecified destructible aggregates and so on produce the suffering seen to be abandoned and so on, those unwholesome ones are similar to afflictions. When the unspecified produces the unspecified, other than maturation and abandonment, there are three, the agent, the owner, and the cause. Whatever past phenomena with outflows produce the three times, all are four other than abandonment. Like this, the past producing the past is also four, the past producing the present is also four, the past producing the future is also four, there may be four, if it is produced by the past, then it is not pervasive that all four are complete. Abandonment
