Therefore, with regard to certainty, for visible dharma and so on, there are two types of certainty and uncertainty, making a total of six. For uncertainty, there are two types: temporary and ripening uncertainty, making a total of eight. Some say that because the karma of visible experience is powerful, there is experiencing after birth, etc., but here it is considered from the perspective of the beginning; otherwise, there would be the fault of a large karmic result becoming a small result. The Vaibhashikas say that because the nature of karma is different, experiencing visible dharma is not after birth, etc. For example, peaches ripen in two and a half months, while barley and wheat ripen in six months. Saying this is somewhat unsatisfactory. Second, explaining the distinctions of ripening experience transformation in detail, there are three aspects: general, specific, and incidental. First, there are two divisions: examining whether similar types can attract others or not, and examining where they exist. First, the three types of experiencing after birth, etc., among similar types, the life faculty can attract, but visible experience cannot, because the life faculty here has already been obtained. If a new similar type is attracted, then it pervades that this is not an experience transformation. Therefore, it is said that ripening occurs in places attracted by others, and merit such as prolonging life is merely eliminating obstacles. Ripening is attracted by all four. Second, there are two divisions: examining where it exists and in which continuum it exists. First, if the four karmas attract ripening, do they exist in all realms and places? The answer is that in all places belonging to the three realms, there are four karmas that attract, which is a general explanation. Specifically, in hell, there are the three types of virtuous after-birth, etc., but there is no visible experience, because there is no pleasing ripening there. Second, from the desire realm, etc., those who are free from desire, that is, steadfast ordinary beings with the nature of non-regression, also do not create karma for experiencing after birth in the place they are about to leave, but create the other three, because they are only born in higher realms in future lives. From the desire realm, etc., noble beings who are free from desire, who are also steadfast, not only do not create experiencing after birth, but also do not create karma for experiencing in other instances, because they will never return to that place. They do create visible dharma experience and uncertain experience. Later, even if these noble beings are free from desire, if they are of a completely regressive nature, then they will also create experiencing after birth and experiencing in other instances. Noble beings who have attained the mind of the peak of existence will also fall from the form

Because it is said that one is born there. Even the noble ones who are free from attachment in the desire realm and the peak of existence, even though they are impermanent and have the nature of decay, once born, they will not experience the result in other lifetimes, because these two are the stages of non-returner and Arhat. If one falls from the stage of fruition, there is no death from falling from the stage of fruition. Because it is certain to be restored to its original state, it is all-pervasive. Indeterminate and visible dharma ripening are possible. If there are four kinds of pulling in everything, then does the intermediate existence also have the pulling of karma? Yes, the intermediate existence of desire pulls twenty-two kinds of pulling in the desire realm, namely: curd, soft flesh, hard flesh, lump of flesh, transformation of hands and feet, these are the five stages of the fetus; infant, young, adult, declining adult, old age, these are the five stages of birth, a total of ten stages. These ten stages are divided into two types: definite and indefinite experience, and two types: definite and indefinite experience of the intermediate existence itself, a total of twenty-two. Those eleven karmas of definite experience are the very ones that have the fruit of experience in this life, and those eleven stages are only of the same kind, because they are only pulled by one karma of experiencing the result after birth. It was not said that there are two other than the visible experience of the intermediate existence, because it was said that this is because the wisdom is not clear, so other karmas are not done, because one wants to be irreversible. In the desire realm, it is because there are no ten stages such as curd in the form realm, and because there is no intermediate existence in the formless realm. The twenty-two definite and indefinite experiences are general, and in particular, it seems that they can be understood in two ways. Second, in particular, there are two types: definite individual explanation and visible dharma ripening individual explanation. First, what is the karma of definite experience? Virtuous and non-virtuous karmas done with afflictions or extremely strong intentions, even if there is no such intention, but to the field of merit, the Three Jewels, and the stream-enterer who has excellent fruits, the stage of Arhat, and the excellent samadhi of cessation, loving-kindness, and those who abide in samadhi without afflictions, doing benefit or harm, etc., and the virtuous and non-virtuous karmas that are done continuously, and the karma of killing parents, those are all because the three powers of field, thought, and action are complete, so one will definitely experience the result.
