To its south is Jambudvipa, to the north is Uttarakuru. To the northeast of the north is Durbhaga, and to the west is the companion of Durbhaga. To the west of Jambudvipa is Godaniya, and to the east is another Godaniya. To the north of Videha is Chamara, and to the south is Lamchogdro, these are subcontinents. Some say that Rakshasas reside in Godaniya, but since they are also humans, humans reside everywhere. The shape of all is similar to the main continent, but the measurements are not mentioned in the Abhidharmakosha. In the Kalachakra, it is said to be half of the main continent. Third, explaining the abodes of sentient beings, here there are two: the specific explanation of the abodes that are relevant, and the general explanation of the arrangement of the three thousand worlds. First, there are two: the distinction of Jambudvipa and the distinction of the abodes of the gods. First, the distinction of what resides in this continent, what abodes are below it, what is above it, and the rising and setting of the sun and moon, these three are explained. First, from the central land of Magadha, going north, after passing three, three, nine black mountains, there is a snow mountain called "Endowed with Glory." After passing that, to the north is a mountain with a fragrant scent, and near it is a snow mountain, and in between is Lake Anavatapta, which is fifty yojanas in depth and width. It is also the lake where the Naga King Anavatapta resides, a square shape with a circumference of two hundred yojanas, beautiful in shape, filled with water with eight qualities, filled with utpala and other flowers. From within it, five hundred small rivers, including the Ganges, all emerge from Lake Anavatapta in a clockwise direction, with an elephant in the east, a bull king in the south, a horse in the west, and a lion's mouth-shaped rock in the north, gradually flowing into the eastern, southern, western, and northern oceans. The Ganges, Sindhu, Pakshu, and Sita rivers are clear and excellent, but it is said that they are difficult to traverse without attaining supernatural powers. In the four directions, there are rocks of silver, gold, lapis lazuli, and diamond color, flowing out from the mouth-like gates of elephants and others, about one yojana in size, gradually carrying sand of gold, silver, lapis lazuli, and diamond. Those who dwell in the sand circle Lake Anavatapta seven times clockwise and then go to the oceans in the four directions. The intermediate continents between the clockwise circles are adorned with flowers of divine substances, and the ground of Lake Anavatapta is also covered with precious gravel, and the surface is also like walls of various precious stones. The lake...

To its right, when the world was formed, one of the four great trees, formed by the wind gathering from the essence of the elements, is called the Jambudvipa tree. Its fruits are sweet like pottery, and when ripe, they fall into the water, producing the sound "Jambu." The Naga kings transform into fish to eat it. The uneaten fruits fall into the water, and when they meet with unheated water, the water of Jambudvipa turns into gold. Twenty yojanas north of the fragrant Gandhamadana Mountain, there is a golden rock bird's nest called the Face of the Asuras, each side of which is fifty yojanas long, surrounded by two hundred yojanas, and rises two and a quarter yojanas above the ground, with hundreds of thousands of rock bird's nests. The road is twenty yojanas long and two cubits wide. Twenty yojanas north of that rock, there is a tree called the Sala King. Seven rows of Sala trees surround it. The roots extend forty cubits downwards. The roots of the first row extend thirteen cubits, and the seventh row extends seven cubits downwards. The branches of the Sala King touch the first row of Sala trees, and the branches of the seventh row cover the sky. Twenty yojanas east of that tree, there is a pond called Slow Stream, which is fifty yojanas wide, surrounded by two hundred yojanas, and has hundreds of thousands of ponds. The elephant used by Indra on the battlefield is called Firm, and it and hundreds of thousands of elephant attendants live in the golden rock bird's nest for four months in winter, next to the Sala King for four months in spring, and by the Slow Stream pond for four months in summer. The elephant's body is three and a half yojanas long, one yojana wide, surrounded by seven yojanas, and two and a half yojanas high. The body is white, the head is blue, the top of the head is red, and it has six tusks. If it goes to other places, it transforms into an ordinary person or a deity with great magical powers, rides on the best elephant, and plays various musical instruments. When it is there, the attendants face inward and eat the roots of lotuses on the land of the seven rows of Sala trees. In the west of this continent, in the palace of Orgyen Vajradhara, is the abode of the Vidyadharas. On the southern ocean island, the boatmen look at the top, and the root is the abode of Tara. On the five-peaked mountain in the east, is the abode of Manjushri.
